The View from the Bottom is Mike Millisor’s monthly letter to all of the stakeholders of the Breckenridge Grand Vacations family of resorts.

My oldest son graduated from high school a few weeks ago, as did the daughter of one of my partners, Mike Dudick. I'm sure that many of you have also found yourselves in the whirlwind of celebrating a loved one's graduation from high school or college, sending a child off to college or into the military. Standing with my son at this important threshold, I couldn't help but look behind us as well as ahead of us.

I can only imagine the adventures he will have as he takes steps to build the life of his dreams. I can, however, look back at the many memories we share with much more clarity. And as I do, I find that many of the memories that stand out are of vacations we took together. Not surprisingly, travel has always been a high priority for me, and I have done my best to pass on to my sons a recognition of the value of experiencing other places and other cultures, of balancing a focus on work with an appreciation of relaxing with friends and family.

The more our lives change, the more memories matter. Memories are a context for the hope and excitement that we bring to life's unexpected alterations. That is the most significant satisfaction I find in the work I do to create great vacations, to help all of our owners and guests to build their own wonderful memories. I am so pleased that you have chosen to partner with Breckenridge Grand Vacations in providing your family with the kinds of memories that will shape them as they move out into the challenge of building a life.

And while I'm being reflective, I want to thank the many of you who take the time to respond to these little articles each month. I do try to respond to many personally, but if you ask a question, I promise that you will get a response, if not from me then from an employee who can answer it better than I could. And I hope that you all know that even if you don't hear back from me, I read each one, appreciate each one, and take all of your comments to heart as I continue to work to make your vacations experiences better and better.
