January was another fantastic month at Gold Point Resort! There have been a few large snow storms, which has allowed the team to practice with the UTV plow. It has been a great success.

Dear Owners,

Happy new year! I hope that you had a wonderful holiday season and are having an enjoyable start to the new year!

2017 was a fantastic year at Gold Point Resort, with many successful projects completed. In 2017, we added a shuffleboard table in the Owner’s Lounge to create additional activities on property. Throughout the year, we replaced the fireplaces and tile surrounds in Buildings 4 and 6. We repainted the interior units in Building 2. New boilers were added in Buildings 7 and 8, and several closet doors were replaced throughout the property.

At the Breckenridge Grand Vacations Holiday Party, the Gold Point team received the Kaizen award. The Kaizen is awarded to the team with the best year-over-year improvement. Gold Point is currently ranked #3 of 68 in the Trip Advisor Specialty Lodging category for Breckenridge.

We have several exciting projects scheduled for 2018. We will continue the fireplace and tile surround project in Buildings 1, 2, and 3. New dining tables, card tables, chairs, and bar stools will be replaced throughout the resort. New living room furniture will be installed in Building 7 and 8 master units, and the Murphy beds will be replaced in the Building 8 studios. We are also planning to refresh the Building 7 hot tub room and add a new hot tub.

We are excited about the upcoming year, and can’t wait to see you at Gold Point Resort. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.

Warm regards,

Happy Holidays from Gold Point Resort!

We are excited to welcome the Dew Tour back to Breckenridge. This year’s Dew Tour is an Olympic qualifying event and will take place on Peak 8 December 14-17. Coming to town with the Dew Tour are the Floozies, who will be headlining the concert at the Riverwalk Center on December 16.

It was a busy November at Gold Point. The Housekeeping and Engineering teams were busy the first half of the month, completing deep cleans and preventative maintenance efforts. The Engineering team finished several projects during October and November. We are excited to report that we have removed the fluorescent light fixtures from the Phase One bathrooms. Changing the bathroom lights has improved the overall appearance of the bathrooms, as well as greatly increased the electrical efficiencies in the bathrooms.

Thank you for your continued support! As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions, suggestions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you at Gold Point this winter.

Grand Regards,

Dear Gold Point Resort Homeowners,

It has been another grand October at Gold Point Resort! During the month of October, both Loveland and Arapahoe Basin opened their resorts for winter operations. In Breckenridge, guests and owners took advantage of the beautiful October weather that allowed outdoor enthusiasts to explore the town and surrounding areas on beautiful hikes and bike rides.

As we do every fall, the Housekeeping team is focusing on the resort’s appearance with in-room and common-area deep cleans. The Engineering team is working on preventative maintenance items, as well as hanging curved shower rods and adding new recycling signage throughout the resort. Preventative maintenance and deep cleans will occur throughout the resort until mid-November.

The most impactful resort improvement project occurring this fall is the installation of new boilers in Buildings 7 and 8. Once installed, the new boiler systems are anticipated to be more efficient and effective than the current boilers.

Along with changes around the resort, there were recently some changes to the Bonus Time policy. The process of reserving Bonus Time at Gold Point Resort has been simplified in an effort to offer a more owner-friendly experience. Based on availability, you can now reserve weekday Bonus Time 30 days in advance! Weekdays are defined as Sunday through Thursday nights. Weekend Bonus Time rates are available 14 days in advance for Friday and Saturday nights and are also subject to availability.

In addition, Bonus Time rates have been raised due to the increased operational expenses incurred during each stay. It has been several years since the last Bonus Time rate increase, and these changes help to keep your HOA dues lower. The chart below outlines the new Bonus Time rates, excluding fees and taxes.

Rates do not include

Dear Gold Point Owners,

September was a beautiful month at Gold Point! You could see the colorful leaf changes occur on property and across the valley. The first snowfall of the year fell in September, and is always a reminder that winter will be here soon. Breckenridge Ski Resort is scheduled to open on November 10.

Throughout the next six weeks, our team will be focusing on preparation for the busy winter season. Rob Wilson and the Engineering team will focus on traditional preventative maintenance programs, as well as painting and staining the units and common areas. Lorraine Stagg and the Housekeeping team will focus on deep cleans.

The most noteworthy project occurring this fall is the installation of the new boiler systems in Buildings 7 and 8. The new systems will replace the current boilers and will provide more consistent heating in the units, as well as future energy savings.

Thank you for all that you do for Gold Point. We hope to see you on property soon!

Dear Gold Point Resort Homeowners,

We hope that your summer was as Grand as ours at Gold Point! We had a wonderful August, during which Breckenridge hosted stage two of the inaugural Colorado Classic Bike Race.

During August, the Gold Point Engineering team completed the installation of new chandeliers in Gold Point 2, replacing the previous green chandeliers. We also completed the installation of the laundry room penthouse doors.

We are excited about the fall, and the many events that will occur in September. Breckenridge Oktoberfest will be the second weekend in September. If you prefer wine to beer, Breckenridge will be hosting the Breckenridge Wine Classic September 14-17. While in town, visit the Breckenridge Arts District, which is showcasing the interactive “Los Trompos” installation. Personally, the end of September is my favorite time of the year for leaf peeping: there are several beautiful drives minutes from Gold Point, where you can enjoy the scenic color change.

As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions, suggestions, or comments.
