Letter from the General Manager

March was a fantastic month at Gold Point Resort. Spring has arrived with warmer weather and longer days. I can’t believe that I’ve been at Gold Point for a year. It’s been incredible!

The Owner’s Lounge has been a popular place in Gold Point Resort throughout the month of March. Many owners have been using the lounge to play pool and watch March Madness.

We continue to offer yoga in the Gold Point Owner’s Lounge on Tuesday mornings at 8 a.m. We have partnered with a local yoga studio in Breckenridge, which provides the class once a week. Both owners and guests have enjoyed participating.

The plastic chairs that were located behind each building have been replaced with more durable exterior furniture. As the weather has started warming up, more people are utilizing the grilling areas behind each building as well.

The exterior entrance lights by the B and E units of each building have been exchanged for new LED lights. We were able to purchase them at the end of last year, and are excited to see energy savings from the new efficient lights already.

We are looking forward to a Grand April, with plenty of activities available throughout the town. The ski area closing is scheduled for April 23 and Breckenridge will again host Spring Fever events throughout the month to celebrate the season. Some of the events include the Spring Fever Beer Festival on April 8 and an Easter egg hunt on April 17. We hope to see you in Breckenridge this April!

Wow, what a winter it has been! In January we had several large snowstorms and fantastic powder days. February brought unseasonably warm weather and spring skiing conditions. There’s been something for everyone to enjoy this winter.

February was an absolutely beautiful month at Gold Point Resort. Occupancy was high and our Engineering team shifted its focus to working in each unit, doing paint touch-ups and installing Blu-Ray players.

We have recently started offering yoga once a week in the Owner’s Lounge. The free classes are Tuesday mornings from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.; yoga mats are provided as part of the class.

Upcoming projects at Gold Point Resort include:

  • New boilers in Buildings 7 and 8
  • New mattresses in Building 6
  • Improved exterior lighting outside of the B and E units in each building
  • Fireplace tile replacement in Buildings 4 and 6
  • Dining room table replacement in a portion of Gold Point I
  • Upgraded Internet equipment throughout the property
  • Building 1 interior painting

Thank you for all that you do for Gold Point Resort. We look forward to a Grand March.

Grand Regards,

Work Hard, Play Harder: Find the Perfect Career in Breckenridge

Most of us BGV employees ended up living amongst these gorgeous mountains in pursuit of adventure, leaving hopes of a career behind. We were willing to give up traditional lifestyles, choosing instead to focus on living for the moment. We did so gladly. We understood that happiness is achieved through experiences that can’t always be encountered from behind a desk. We kissed our hopes for a career goodbye because we thought that was the compromise we had to make in order to live and play in Summit County. And, it seemed worth it, at least for a short while.

But, what if we told you that you can have your cake and eat it, too? That’s right! You CAN grow your professional career, all while living out your dreams in beautiful Breckenridge. How? Work for Breckenridge Grand Vacations (BGV). It really is that simple.

BGV is known as the employer of choice in Summit County, consistently distinguished as a Top Workplace by the Denver Post and recently named as the Best Place to Work by the Summit Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards. BGV has just over 500 employees, almost 200 of which have been with the company for a significant amount of time. Career longevity is strong at BGV.

With 68 employees having worked at the company for three to five years, 81 employees having worked at the company for five to ten years, and 30 employees having worked at the company for over 10 years, the proof is in the pudding (or, the powder). In case you weren’t aware, those are extremely impressive statistics for this seasonal resort town!

How does BGV manage to not only hang on to employees but get them excited to go to work every day? According to Guest Services Supervisor, Julianna Nopson, “BGV goes above and beyond when it comes to taking care of their employees! When you are a part of BGV, you truly feel like a part of a big happy family who really cares about each other!”

BGV has two full-time employees dedicated to training staff on the BGV culture and it makes a Grand difference. The company embraces an inverted pyramid leadership style, making the executive leadership team approachable and supportive to any level employee. Everyone at the company is treated as an equal, even by the Owners/ Developers, Mike Millisor and Mike Dudick, who know the majority of their 500 employees by name. There are many other reasons that members of the BGV family stick around for so long, but you’ll have to learn more about that in your interview! Apply today at

In January, we had the annual Ullr Festival and Ullr has been smiling on Breckenridge! We have had a tremendous winter season thus far, with an incredibly snowy January.

We recently received new furniture for the Owner’s Lounge, and have completed our update to the area. Rob and the engineering team have been busy working on winter projects throughout the resort. All the bedroom TVs are now wall mounted, and we are in the process of installing Blu-ray players in each living room. We have also replaced the exterior lights at the front of each building, and replaced the fixtures with a new, brighter LED fixture.

We look forward to an exciting February. Breckenridge will be hosting their annual Mardi Gras Parade on February 28, with a free concert by the Lowdown Brass Band to follow.

Upcoming Gold Point Projects:

  • The boilers will be replaced in Buildings 7 and 8.
  • We will be painting the interior of Building 1.
  • We will be replacing the fireplace tiles in Buildings 4 and 6.

Thank you for all that you do for Gold Point!

Happy New Year!

Gold Point had a strong finish to the end of the year. A lot of snow fell during the month of December, and we had some of the biggest overnight snow storms that I can recall. The mountain reported 19” of fresh snow one Saturday in December.

During the month of December, we made some renovations to the Owner’s Lounge. We refinished the lobby fireplace surroundings by removing the wood trim and refinishing with a slate tile. The lounge was repainted to accent the slate, and the pool table has been resurfaced. We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of new lobby furniture to complete the room.

At Gold Point, we are excited about everything that 2017 has in store. Breckenridge is once again hosting the International Snow Sculpture Championships. January 24–28 is the sculpting week, when you can watch several international teams turn blocks of snow into works of art. January 28–February 5 is the viewing week, when you can view the completed sculptures.

We have several projects scheduled for the new year, including, but not limited to, new recycling centers in the common areas, new fireplace tile in Buildings 4 and 6, dining room table replacements in Buildings 1, 2, and 3 and improvements to the Gold Point II boiler system.

Thank you for an outstanding year, and we look forward to seeing you in 2017.

Grand regards,

Lindsay Reinwand

November was a Grand month at Gold Point Resort. The resort was extremely busy, and several owners took advantage of Bonus Time and enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather that started the month. Halfway through November, winter arrived. The snow started falling and Breckenridge Ski Area opened on November 19. The fresh snow also allowed several other area activities to open. Snowmobiling, ziplining and dog sledding are just a few of the winter activities that you can participate in while you are staying at Gold Point Resort.

We continue to work on improving the Gold Point Resort experience for all of our owners. We have upgraded the Comcast cable on property. All television channels are now HD, and there is no longer a need for cable boxes in the room. The upgrade to the television system also provided us with faster Internet coming into the property.

Upcoming renovations include new furniture in the Owner’s Lounge and improved exterior lighting on property.

Thank you for everything that you do to support Gold Point Resort. I look forward to another fantastic winter.

Grand Regards,

Lindsay Reinwand
