Greetings from 10,500 feet! August was a Grand month, with beautiful weather and some exciting changes around Gold Point.

Henry Furll has accepted the Project Manager position for Breckenridge Grand Vacations. Henry has done a great job while at Gold Point Resort, leading change and making improvements throughout the property. We are sad to see Henry leave Gold Point Resort, but are proud of his accomplishments and thrilled that he is still close enough to lend his expertise.
We are excited to have Rob Wilson join the Gold Point Resort team as the Engineering Manager. A native of Colorado, Rob moved to Breckenridge from Estes Park three years ago. Rob has worked at Breckenridge Grand Vacations for the past year as a Senior Owner Support Specialist. Prior to working in Owner Relations, Rob was the Property Manager for the Corral at Breckenridge.

We are also pleased to announce that Eric Lentz has started as the Gold Point Resort Resident Manager. Eric moved to Colorado from Michigan two years ago, and was Parking Operations Manager in both Denver and Breckenridge prior to taking on his new role at Gold Point Resort.

We have completed a few projects during the month of August. Both the upper and lower driveways were seal coated and striped. A new grill was added near the horseshoe and tether ball area and provides the view for which Gold Point Resort is so well known.

Grand Regards,

Lindsay Reinwand

Greetings from Gold Point! We have had beautiful weather over the past month, and are really enjoying the Grand views at Gold Point.

July provided beautiful weather, much needed rain and plenty of activates taking place in town. A July highlight was the Backstage Theater’s production of “Chicago.” This performance received stellar reviews and nightly standing ovations. If you missed out, you can look forward to their production of “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike,” showing from July 29 to August 14, or “Hairspray,” showing from August 26 to September 4.

Join us August 21 at Carter Park for the 2nd Annual Great Cornholio Tournament! This is a fundraiser for a local non-profit organization focused on wounded veterans and their families (WHFA). Sign-in starts at 2 p.m. and bags fly at 2:45 p.m. This event is open to spectators and participants. Each entry includes two beer tickets and one food ticket. Click here for more information and to register.

July has been a busy month at Gold Point, and we had a wonderful July 4 at the property. We have recently installed new artwork in Buildings 7 and 8. The artwork consists of beautiful year-round mountain settings and pictures.

Over the next few months, we will be working on the following projects:

  • Asphalt seal coating and stripping
  • Replacing the fire extinguishers on property
  • New hot tub furniture

Warm greetings from beautiful Breckenridge. July is one of my favorite months in the high country, and the summer weather has been spectacular thus far. Flowers are beginning to take over Gold Point with beautiful blooms on property and wildflowers beginning to pop up on the hillsides.

The updated activity area just south of the common building has been a wonderful attraction. Many families have created some Grand memories playing horseshoes and tetherball. This is an area that we will continue to improve as summer goes on. Look for a barbecue grill and a few other yard games to be added throughout the summer months.

Did you know you can check out the GP mascot, Goldie Bear, at the Front Desk on property and capture your adventures with her in Breckenridge! To add to her story, post your pictures to Instagram using the hashtag #GPGoldieBear. We look forward to seeing what adventures you will take her on! To see what adventures she has been on go here.

The resort has been busy with some fun summer additions:

  • The engineering team installed new picnic tables and grills in each of the buildings.
  • Flat-screen TVs have been installed throughout the property.
  • The property entrance sign and common building have new blooms planted.

Grand Regards,

April was another Grand month at Gold Point Resort. We had a mixture of sunny weather and snowstorms to help cap off a beautiful ski season. The Annual Homeowners’ Association meeting was held at Gold Point on April 23. I had the opportunity to meet several owners and heard countless tales of their favorite Gold Point memories.

We are looking forward to May and working on a variety of projects around the resort. Henry, Lorraine and their teams will be busy with deep cleans and preventative maintenance items, as well as preparing the resort for another busy summer.

These late spring snowstorms have us anticipating another exciting rafting season. May is a fantastic month of the year to go rafting for adrenaline junkies. All of the snow melt leads to large rapids and adventures on the river. While you are visiting in May, make sure to try out some of Breckenridge’s best restaurants. Breckenridge dining passports are available from April 18 to June 9 for $10 and offer large discounts at Breckenridge’s most popular restaurants. You can find a full list of participating restaurants here.

In and around Gold Point Resort, here are a few things we have been up to:

  • The Building 8 hot tub room has been updated and the decking has been refinished. This has given the room a fresh feel and helps to highlight the great views.
  • A new phone system was installed this month. One of the many features of the new system is improved accuracy for emergency response teams.
  • We are awaiting the arrival of new bedroom furniture and anticipate delivery the week of May 9.

March was a month full of change; it started off dry and sunny and ended with feet of fresh powder. Gold Point also saw a major change with a new general manager appointed. Lindsay Reinwand will begin her journey as part of the Breckenridge Grand Vacations family and new leader of Gold Point Resort. Lindsey brings years of management experience with her, and we are excited to see where she will take Gold Point. Josh Stuhr has been appointed general manager of Grand Timber Lodge, so while not at Gold Point, he is still part of the BGV family.

April will bring the ski hill to a close, and Breckenridge Spring Fever will be taking place. Peak 8 will turn into a concert venue, host competitions and be where all the action is! For a full concert lineup and competition details, go here. While the mountain will not officially close until April 24, the closing day party will be on April 17. Make sure to book some last-minute reservations or come up for the day; this is a party not to miss.

In and around Gold Point Resort, here are a few things we have been up to:

  • After bountiful snowfall in March, a large excavator visited the resort to alleviate the large snowbanks that had built up. A few kids were lucky enough to grab a ride!
  • The Building 7 hot tub has been refinished to provide for an enjoyable experience while soaking in the beautiful views.
  • Repairs were made to the dumpster enclosure and Building 7 roof as a result of high winds that blew through in February.

Lindsay ReinwandWelcome Lindsay Reinwand

Lindsay grew up in Linden, Michigan. She attended Michigan State University and studied hospitality business. The combination of family ski vacations and a college internship in Aspen would culminate to a move to Colorado in 2001. Lindsay had fallen in love with the Colorado weather and activities and wanted to work in a resort setting.

The majority of Lindsay’s career has been in resort operations. Her first internship in college was at a resort in Ohio. Upon her move to Colorado she spent time working in Keystone and has spent the last 10 years working in Breckenridge. During that time she was the general manager at Mountain Thunder Lodge and the Village at Breckenridge. Throughout her time in resort operations, she has had the opportunity to open new properties and improve older properties.

When Lindsay isn’t working, she is spending time with her 1 ½-year-old son and husband. Her favorite activities are camping, hiking, biking, skiing and snowboarding. She loves being outdoors, cheering on the Spartans and traveling.

Lindsay is excited to be part of the Breckenridge Grand Vacations family and is looking forward to building relationships with the current team and homeowners. She is excited to be at a property that has a great reputation and to continue to build upon Gold Point’s previous success.

Greetings from Gold Point Resort! We have experienced a beautiful February, with temperatures soaring into the 50s on occasion. Nevertheless, the snow continued falling and helped to maintain the famous Breckenridge snow conditions. In fact, we enjoyed February so much we kept it around for an extra day with the leap year!

As the calendar turns over to March, the beautiful Breckenridge spring full of sun and snow is upon us. March is traditionally the snowiest month of the year, but also the beginning of warmer, sun-filled days. If the snow and weather do not sell themselves, the famous comedian Lewis Black brings his famous style of comedy to town March 18. His comedic brilliance lies in his ability to make people laugh at the absurdities of life, with topics that include current events, social media, politics, and anything else that exposes the hypocrisy and madness he sees in the world. On March 24, the Stephen C. West Ice Arena hosts the Broadway in Breckenridge ice skating show. This family show includes performances by local youth and adult figure skaters, along with former professional skaters.

In and around Gold Point Resort, here are a few things we have been up to:

  • Final selections have been made for the new bedroom furniture throughout the resort. The final pieces include upgraded lighting that will be fitted with bright LED lights. The brighter lights will bring new life to the rooms, but will have multiple brightness settings for those who wish to sneak in some late-night reading while others sleep.
  • In anticipation of the upcoming grilling season, we have procured replacement picnic tables and grills for Buildings 1 through 6. As not many people are buying grills and picnic tables in midwinter, we were able to secure some very good pricing on these items.
  • In anticipate of a HUGE snowy March, we have completed snow removal on a few key areas of the building roofs to reduce the chance of any snow- or ice-related damages.
  • You will receive a welcome call from the front desk the morning after you arrive If you do not receive your welcome call, please call to let us know.
  • We have lowered our nightly rental minimums for the month of March and can’t wait to see you on property!
