Letter from the General Manager

Summer is flying by as we look ahead to the month of August. We are looking forward to helping you celebrate any last-minute getaways to the mountains before the 2017/2018 school year commences. Please note that your next commute to the Grand Lodge may take a few extra minutes, as the regrading of Ski Hill Road is in full swing. Shuttle operations may also experience slight delays, making the Gondola a preferred method of transportation into town.

Grand News:

  • Congratulations to the following owners, who each won a $200 credit on their owner account!
    • Brad Pfenninger
    • Rod Bosserdet
    • Sam Montoya
    • Rebecca and Matthew Kelley
  • The Day Use lunch room has been equipped with new charging stations. This amenity is most popular in the winter, but the room is also equipped with year-round amenities like a refrigerator, two microwaves, and many comfy furnishings that can be helpful for your Day Use excursions.
  • The pools and hot tubs have undergone some behind-the-scenes mechanical upgrades that will provide users with easier temperature control. This temperature regulation feature will prove to be especially helpful given the adverse weather conditions that we experience in Summit County.
  • Soothe Spa will be offering complimentary enhancements to a variety of services during the month of August. These enhancements include:
    • Massage – Shea Butter Hydration. Shea butter is incredibly nourishing and moisturizing. It is used to restore and protect the skin.
    • Facial – NuFACE five-minute face lift. One of the hottest innovations in the anti-aging industry, NuFACE is a handheld device that uses microcurrent technology for facial contouring, toning, and firming of aging skin. NuFACE provides both instant and cumulative results.
    • Nails – Vinylux Polish. CND Vinylux Weekly Polish is a breakthrough polish without a base coat! While ordinary polishes break down over time, Vinylux Weekly Polish actually becomes more durable as time passes. Results last for up to a week.

Along with all the great family activities, we’re also offering something new for the adults! We are excited to share that we will soon be partnering with Sevens restaurant to introduce a new beer tasting class that will be offered weekly. Please visit the Activities Desk to inquire about beer tasting and other programs during your vacation.

We hope everyone has had an enjoyable summer! Best of luck to those taking their children shopping for back-to-school clothes and supplies. Wishing the kiddos a happy and healthy school year!

July marks the warmest month in the High Country. It’s a great time to grab your sunglasses and soak up some rays in the comfortable chaise lounges at the pool. High alpine sun isn’t your favorite? Come join us for Bonus Time in the well air-conditioned units on property. No matter your fancy, we’ve got your summer fun covered at the Grand Lodge on Peak 7!

On July 5, a wildland fire was spotted on Peak 2 in Breckenridge. This fire spread over 87 acres and lead to pre-evacuation measures for some areas within Breckenridge. With the help of local and federal resources, we are happy to report the fire is 85 percent contained and no longer represents a threat to the town or public. We are extremely grateful for the amazing job the firefighters and community did to keep all of its guests and residents safe.

Grand News:

  • Congratulations to the following owners, who each won a $200 credit to their Reward Dollar balance!
    • Danielle Adams-Benitez
    • Vickie Brower
    • Greg and Dorothy Sorter
  • July will mark the next implementation in our recycling and sustainability efforts. Please be on the lookout for glass receptacles around the property. Separating glass from the bulk of the recycling provides a higher repurpose life and less contamination to the other recyclable items.
  • Sevens has rolled out their summer menu. Please check out their new Owner Special and fresh new selections. Owner Cards are required if you want to take advantage of the owner discounts.
  • The theaters will be getting a facelift with brand new reclining chairs during the month of July. We look forward to accommodating your family movie night in comfort!
  • The Grand Lobby has all new furniture. The nesting tables allow for individual use and the bar tables have outlets and USB ports available.

Breckenridge has many family-friendly events for you to enjoy! Please visit the www.gobreck.com webpage for town information. A friendly reminder: afternoon rain showers help keep our mountains green and beautiful. These thunderstorms can cause regular closures to the aquatics facility. Please plan accordingly during your afternoon adventures and do not hesitate to contact the Activities department for any on-demand fun. As always, we want to be better tomorrow than we are today, so please let us know if you have any suggestions for improving your resort.

This is an optional program: we invite owners and guests to join the 700 guests who have already chosen to partake in this initiative. And we thank all of those who have participated so far! If you have questions about this, please ask at the Front Desk the next time you visit. At the Front Desk, you will also learn about our newest sustainable effort, paperless check-in. This service not only reduces paper use by over 300 pages a week, it speeds up the check-in process. By taking advantage of the online pre-registration that is sent via email a week prior to arrival, you will be able to simply confirm the details of your stay upon arrival!

The staff at the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 is looking forward to seeing all of our owners this summer. As always, we want to be better tomorrow than we are today, so please let us know if you have any suggestions to improve your resort.

Grand Timber Lodge Property Information

Letter from the General Manager

It is hard to believe it is already May! While this month is somewhat of a quieter time in the town of Breckenridge, here at Grand Timber Lodge we have many different projects going on! Please take a look at all the exciting updates we are doing between April and May:

  • We have recently added two new landscaper positions, and we are excited to have this work performed in-house by our own employees this year as opposed to using an outside contractor. Our beautiful property is sure to have beautiful grounds that match throughout this summer!
  • During the month of May, we will be replacing all the living room furniture in each building during their designated spring “block” week. We will be done by the end of May and are excited to see our rooms with their new and improved look!
  • We will be replacing all the windows in Building 2. This project started at the end of April and will continue through the end of May. Throughout the installation, there will be a large trailer parked at the back entrance to Grand Timber in between Buildings 2 and 4. We will try our best to keep this area clean and free of debris, but please bear with us as this is a major construction project.
  • Another exciting project we have going on in May is the complete refurbishment of the elevator in Building 5. We are using the same design that is currently in the elevators for Buildings 3 and 4.
  • From April 24 to June 30 Park Avenue from Ski Hill Road to the entrance of F-Lot will be closed, with local business access ONLY. Access to Four O’clock Road will be via Village Road. For more information and alternative routes go here.
  • Please help us congratulate Bill and Colleen Fillion. They have both won two Epic Local Passes for next season! Feel free to stop by the Concierge desk to ask how you can be entered to win!
