These activities also make a nice gift and memorable experience for your loved ones during the holidays. Other gift options available at Grand Lodge on Peak 7 include gift certificates from Soothe Spa and Colorado souvenirs from the Grand Essentials sundry store located next to the Front Desk.

November is an exciting time of year in Breckenridge as the winter season begins, and Breckenridge Ski Resort’s opening day will be here soon. Breckenridge will be opening at Peak 8, which is a short gondola ride from Grand Lodge on Peak 7. The current opening day has been moved from November 11, but not official date has been released. For continued updates on the snow conditions, please visit Snow.com.

With the winter season beginning, parking becomes the resort’s most popular amenity. We want to remind our owners of our Day Use parking policies and how to reserve your space. Day Use parking is limited to one parking space per ownership and up to eight people total per reservation. You can book your space seven days in advance beginning at 7 a.m. Please visit Grand Central to reserve your parking space. These spaces are available on a first-come basis and there is an option to be added to a waiting list. Remember, all confirmed reservations must check in at the Concierge Desk to avoid losing Day Use privileges for two weeks.

The Grand Lodge on Peak 7 staff would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and Grand start to the ski season!

Fall is a mellow time of year in Breckenridge, as we transition from summertime hikes to snowy winter activities. There is usually plenty of parking available on Main Street, and fall specials become available as some businesses compete with each other while others close until the ski season. We want to remind all of our owners of that the Gondola will be closed until Breckenridge Ski Resorts’ opening day, November 11.

Grand News:

  • Congratulations to Mike and Michelle Brubeck, Nick and Margy Ensrude, Dena and Michael Lawrence, and Jill Werner! These owners were the Concierge August weekly raffle winners.
  • The grills located in the putt-putt area have been replaced and upgraded with gas timers to improve efficiency.
  • Sevens restaurant has new leadership team members, including a new chef. Sevens will be implementing changes to enhance the owner experience.
  • The Breckenridge Dining Passport is back again this fall! This includes offers for discounts at various restaurants. For participation and details, please go here.

October is a busy time of year at Grand Lodge on Peak 7 as we begin our property improvement projects. This fall, we are replacing multiple items throughout the resort, in line with our property reserve replacement plan. Replacements include:

  • Phases 1 and 2 master and suite living room arm chairs.
  • South Building suite sofa sleepers.
  • Living room throw pillows throughout the property.
  • Lounge chairs in the pool area.
  • Day Use lunch room furniture.

As always, we appreciate the feedback provided by our owners. If there is anything you wish to share, please do not hesitate to let us know, as we always want to be better tomorrow than we are today!

  • Owners can volunteer to participate in our efforts to be more environmentally friendly by opting in to our Sustainable Stays program. Please inquire at check-in!

Next month kicks off our fall property improvement projects and property deep cleans. To help improve your resort, below are scheduled upcoming closures:

Summer has been beautiful in Breckenridge. The mornings have been perfect for outdoor adventures, followed by afternoon showers just in time to cool off the evening for summertime grilling. There are several grills located on the property for all of our owners and guests to enjoy. Grilling utensils are available for check-out at the Front Desk. And don’t forget to stop by the Activities Desk to get recommendations for nearby hiking trails.

  • A full-service bar and restaurant is being developed by Vail Summit Resorts at the top of the Independence SuperChair, located at our backdoor. During this development there is a lot of road traffic and construction taking place on the trails leading to the top of Peak 7. For your safety, please be mindful of this when traveling on these trails.
  • Join us August 21 at Carter Park for the 2nd Annual Great Cornholio Tournament! This is a fundraiser for a local non-profit organization focused on wounded veterans and their families (WHFA). Sign-in starts at 2 p.m. and bags fly at 2:45 p.m. This event is open to spectators and participants. Each entry includes two beer tickets and one food ticket.
