View from the Bottom

MikeThe View from the Bottom is Mike Millisor’s monthly letter to all of the stakeholders of the Breckenridge Grand Vacations family of resorts.

It’s a new year, with new opportunities for vacation adventures! I assume that by now you have all booked your vacation weeks either at your BGV resort or at an exchange resort with Interval International. If you haven’t, get going so you can start looking forward to it!

If you’re like me, the fun starts just as soon as you have the reservation confirmed. You start to imagine what the weather will be like. You check out any town festivals that might be going on, or any concerts or other performances scheduled. Your taste buds conjure up the memory of the great meal you had at a favorite restaurant during your last visit, with a view to repeating it.

I believe that half the fun of a vacation is the anticipation. And I’ll go further, to suggest that doing some additional planning in advance cannot only heighten that anticipation, but also can lead to a more relaxing experience.

So if you are staying at your BGV resort home this year, let our staff help. Contact them several weeks in advance of your trip to book activities such as rafting, horseback riding, sleigh ride dinners or snowmobile tours. Let them make those dinner reservations that can be hard to get if you wait till you arrive. Book that spa appointment at the time that works best for you, before someone else gets to it.

But the service doesn’t stop there. We can book a shuttle or rental car to get you from the Denver airport to Breck. We can arrange grocery deliveries to your resort unit or arrange your ski or snowboard rentals, even ski apparel. Make your list and give our Owner Relations department a call to start building your vacation.

Then imagine arriving at your resort destination knowing that everything is in place for you to enjoy according to your preferred schedule. You’ll want to save some “open” time for spontaneous activities or just relaxing by the pool, of course. But knowing that the things that are most important to you and your family are in place can alleviate much of the “rush” that can overtake even the best intention to let go and unwind.

So go ahead – start dreaming! We’ll see you soon!
