View from the Bottom

The View from the Bottom is Mike Millisor’s monthly letter to all of the stakeholders of the Breckenridge Grand Vacations family of resorts.

This is the time of year that I get to brag. A few weeks ago, about 50 Breckenridge Grand Vacations employees traveled to New Orleans for the annual convention of the American Resort Development Association (ARDA), the international professional organization of the timeshare industry. This convention brings together timeshare professionals from around the country and the world to learn, to share ideas and to support each other in our shared goal of providing the best in vacation experiences.

On the final evening of the convention, ARDA holds an Awards Gala to honor winners in categories across the spectrum of roles required to run topnotch resorts. I am proud to report that this year, of the 22 employees and projects BGV nominated for awards, 20 were named as finalists and eight took home the ARDY Gold!

The competition for these awards is intense, and only individuals at the very top of their game will take home the highest honors. These employees have worked hard to learn their crafts and to apply them daily with the highest standards of performance. So even though you may not recognize these names, I would like to take this opportunity to publicly recognize the following individuals for their excellence.

    Mike, You’ll already know that in order for team members to enjoy this success, it also requires a workplace culture that doesn’t just encourage first class performance in everything they do, but is second nature. To reach that pinnacle requires a leadership tam that doesn’t just talk, but which lives and breathes the ethos, standards, and continual development.
