Breckenridge has truly become a winter wonderland already this year. With all the snow and holiday activities taking place and it can hard to navigate what to focus on! We have provided you a foolproof list of activities that will help you make the most of your weekend in Breckenridge.
1) Race of the Santa’s
Join locals and visitors alike and watch Main Street be taken over by Santas of all shapes and sizes. You can either participate in the running, skipping and jogging or enjoy the pure entertainment of 100’s of Santas taking over the town. Festivities begin at 4:15 on Saturday, December 6th. With the great snowfall we have had this season there are a verity of activities available to you.
Hit the slopes: Enjoy all the terrain that is open in Breckenridge and the newly opening Peak 7 and Imperial Express! For more information on what terrain is open go here. Need rentals to hit the slopes? Not problem. Check out all the BGV Owner discount options available to you here.
Cross Country Ski or Snowshoe: Enjoy a sunny day at the Breckenridge Nordic Center. Cross country skiing or snowshoeing are a great family activity and have a much smaller price tag in comparison to the ski hill. For more information go here. Go Tubing: Tubing is another great family activity that is perfect for all ages. The closest tubing hill is at the Frisco Adventure Park, but for a bit more of an adrenaline rush we would recommend Keystone Adventure Point. It is recommended to make reservations in advance for both locations.
After an afternoon of enjoying the snow come enjoy the holiday festivities on Main Street! The lighting of Breckenridge officially takes place at 5:15 on Saturday, December 6th, but make sure not to miss Santa coming into town at 5:00! 4) Make or Buy a Handmade Holiday Craft
There isn’t a better way to kick off the holiday season than with a craft! The Breckenridge Arts District offers a Holiday Market and Holiday card making for kids. If you are looking for something a bit more challenging stick around for the Wednesday, December 10th ceramic holiday ornament workshop. 5) Relax at the Spa
After a weekend of activity it’s always great to treat yourself! What a better way to do that than enjoy one of the two Breckenridge Grand Vacations spas.
