This team strives every day to provide superior service, and the timeshare industry has taken notice. ARDA (American Resort Development Association) is the timeshare industry’s trade association and holds a yearly awards gala to celebrate those who stand out in the industry.
In 2015, our Interval Support Department was nominated for an ARDA Award in the Owner/Customer Relations Team category. And we brought home the Gold, beating out industry giants such as Wyndham and Marriott!
Nominees must be nominated by their respective executive team. Once nominated, their department managers are asked eight questions that directly pertain to the level of service and overall functionality of the team. Of the eight questions, the first may be the most important: “What makes the nominee’s performance and contributions outstanding and deserving of an ARDA award?” Included below are some main points of emphasis pertaining to our 2015 success:
- Handled more than 20,000 phone calls in 2015.
- Helped arrange around 2,500 exchanges.
- Provided advice to owners as to how to “deposit” their units into Interval International in order to help maximize their chances of exchanging where they want to go.
- Reduced the number of calls from BGV owners to Interval International directly by 50 percent.
- Increased overall owner education with regards to Interval International.
