In Breckenridge, we live to celebrate all the amazing things our magical town has to offer! These events bring locals and guests together to have a great time. Lighting of Breckenridge & Race of the Santas

December 4

The first weekend in December kicks off the Lighting of Breckenridge and the race of Santas! This festive really sets the holiday scene in the streets of downtown Breckenridge. Lots of locals and guests fill Breckenridge in Santa suits and race down Main Street to kick off the holiday season! Make sure you hang out downtown post-Santa run to experience Breckenridge’s most iconic lighting of the town.

Breckenridge Ullr Fest

December 9-12

Grab your Viking caps and head to downtown Breckenridge to celebrate Ullr Fest! Ullr fest is for all ages to praise Ullr, the Norse god of snow, in hopes of a powder-filled ski season. We can not forget, Breckenridge is known for the longest shotski “unofficial.”

International Snow Sculpture Championships

Carving Week: January 24-28

Viewing Week: January 28-February 2

The International Snow Sculpture Championship is a world-renowned snow sculpting competition where 12 teams from all over the world come to Breckenridge and hand-carve 20-ton blocks of snow into works of art. These teams are only allowed to use hand tools, no power tools are allowed. They spent countless hours over the course of 5 days. sculpting the snow into creative pieces.
