The Friends of CAIC Benefit Bash returns for its 16th year, the biggest fundraising event of the year for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center. Our mountainous landscape provides endless opportunities for winter backcountry exploration, but with that comes avalanche hazard. CAIC works hard to keep us safe with its community outreach,  education programs, avalanche forecasting, and more. Enjoy live music, auctions, and giveaways while giving back to an outstanding organization!

The Lighting of Breckenridge festivities is a joyful kickoff to winter, illuminating downtown with the iconic winter lights. Bring your Santa suit and join hundreds of Santa lookalikes for a race down Main Street. This event offers something for the whole family- even your pups. The event that needs no introduction! Ullr Fest is one of the most highly-anticipated events of the year here in Breckenridge- and for good reason. Don your biking helmet and join locals in a celebration of Ullr, the Norse god of snow, and wishing for a powder-filled ski season! Decorate your helmets, break a world record with the world’s longest Shotski, and head to the Ullr bonfire for a legendary party. This is one weekend-long event you don’t want to miss!

As part of the Ullr Fest celebrations, the Stephen C. West Ice Arena will be hosting a holiday-themed winter skate show! Watch local youth and adult figure skaters show off their skills and routines. This family-friendly performance is the perfect way to embrace the spirit of the season!

Our local theater organization, Breckenridge Backstage Theater, presents this holiday musical rendition of The Gift of the Magi. From the BTT website, The Gift of the Magi is described as, “Based on the beloved 1905 short story by O. Henry, this holiday chamber musical follows Jim and Della, a young husband and wife with full hearts and empty pockets, seeking the perfect Christmas gifts for each other. This uplifting musical features a spirited 80 minutes of live music, singing, and dancing. Celebrate the joy of love and hope with Breckenridge Backstage Theatre this holiday season! Perfect for all ages!”

Join us for a delightful experience at the Grand Colorado on Peak 8, where Santa awaits for joyful photos and festive moments. One of our most treasured local non-profit organizations, Friends of Dillon Ranger District (FDRD), offers a variety of programs to keep us learning and exploring all winter long! Friends of Dillon Ranger District is an active, locally-based stewardship organization that, with help of volunteers and collaboration with the US Forest Service, works for sustainable management of our local forest. Breckenridge Creative Arts, known as BreckCreate, is a local organization devoted to promoting arts, culture, and creative experiences.
