Easter Activities in Breckenridge

Ski bunnies are normally the talk of the town, but this Sunday, a different bunny will steal the limelight. If you plan your day just right, you may catch a glimpse of this elusive creature and even snag some treats from his basket. That’s right, the Easter bunny will be found out and about in Breckenridge!

Sunday will be packed full of egg hunts, bacon-filled brunches and chocolate treats. Our comprehensive list will help ensure you don’t miss a single activity on this festive day.

Egg Hunts

Grand Timber Lodge: Come join Grand Timber Lodge Easter celebration and hunt for eggs that the Easter Bunny hid around the property! You may even get a glimpse of the Easter bunny hopping around the property!

Grand Lodge on Peak 7: Can you find all the hidden riddles around the property? There are egg signs posted around the property with riddles; guests will need to figure out the riddles, write them down and bring them back to the Activities Desk. For each correct riddle, you will receive a prize egg. This Egg hunt will continue till 4/4 and is free of charge.

Grand Colorado on Peak 8: Be on the lookout! Hidden around the property, there are pictures of eggs with numbers on them; find the egg pictures and take a picture with them! Bring back all the pictures to the Activities Desk to claim your prize!

Easter Service

There are a variety of churches in Breckenridge that will be holding Easter service.

Father Dyer Methodist Church: They will be having a Good Friday service at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 2. Easter service will be at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 4. For more information, click here.

The Church at Agape Outpost: Easter service will be at 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Sunday, April 4. For more information, click here.

Great Divide Calvary Chapel: Easter service will be at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, April 4. For more information, click here.

Brunch

Are you looking for an escape or a way to spice things up? We’ve got you covered on the most important meal of the day. Take the whole family or leave the kids looking for eggs and hit the bar!

Columbine Cafe: Do you want a traditional breakfast? Columbine is known for big plates, traditional options and a huge menu. Corned beef eggs benedict, waffles with strawberries and walnuts and the Breck scramble are just a few favorites.

Blue River Bistro: Are you looking to drink your Easter Brunch? The happy hour comes twice a day, so it’s always time to celebrate with a martini!

Daylight Donuts: Looking for something fast, old-school and cheap? Stop by Daylight Donuts, where you can sit in one of the oldest fast-food-styled booths or hit the door with fresh supplies and coffee and more sugar for the kids. The Bear Claw is a local favorite; the name is self-explanatory for its size!

Sevens: Located right at the base of Peak 7, try out Sevens signature breakfast. From a smothered burrito to a Sevens Sammie, there is something for everyone. Breakfast is served from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Amazing Grace: Looking for somewhere to go that is peaceful and quiet? Amazing Grace is located on Lincoln Ave across from the old Town Hall. The laid-back and hippy staff serve breakfast and lunch in true organic form. Cozy up next to the wood-fired stover with some self-service coffee, fresh baked goods and a good book.

Sweet Treats

Easter and candy, somehow those two just go so well together. Don’t leave the little ones worried that the Easter Bunny forgot about them while on vacation. Stop by any of these spots and create the best Easter basket that will have them drooling!

Fuzzywig’s Candy Factory: If you can dream it, you can find it here! With over 40o varieties of candy, specialty store crafter chocolate and fudge and small toys, this is a one-stop shop for your Easter basket finds.

Mountain Top Cookie Shop: Create a special basket full of the most delicious cookies in Breckenridge! Salted caramel, vanilla avalanche, the Wookie monster, m&m and the list goes on. These are so good you may want to hide some for yourself!

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory: This will be the best spot to swing by for an afternoon ice cream cone or caramel apple. After enjoying a treat, make sure you take a look at all the chocolates and grab some to go!

Peek-A-Boo Toys: Looking for more of an interactive Easter Basket? Stop into Peek-A-Boo toys and find some favorites. There is also a candy counter just in case you need a few sugary goods; you have been warned!

City Market: Did you completely forget that it was Easter weekend and all the candy shops in town are closed? Swing by City Market and make your way over to the Easter aisle. Here you will find a variety of baskets, eggs, candy and chocolate bunnies. This is a quick shop that will give you everything needed to keep it festive in the mountains.
