IMG_0017 IMG_0022Letter from the General Manger:

Greetings from Gold Point Resort!

Rumor has it that November marks the long anticipated start of ski season. While October did not bring mounds of snow, the Breckenridge Ski Resort is scheduled to open November 13 for another fantastic season!

This year the resort is unveiling some great improvements!  Peak 6 will be seeing more snow making operations and enhanced trails. But perhaps the most exciting upgrade comes in their mobile app, Epic Mix, which now features real time chairlift wait times to help navigate the mountain while avoiding the crowds.

As snow covers the mountains and temperatures drop, skiing is not the only activity that begins. Snowmobile tours, sleigh rides, tubing, sledding, snowshoeing, dog sledding and a host of other activities will begin to open as the weather and snowfall permit.

The Colorado Avalanche Information Center will be hosting their annual Benefit Bash at the Breckenridge Riverwalk Center on November 14. The evening features a night of fine food, beer and entertainment. As the holiday season approaches, the Riverwalk Center will also be hosting the Breckenridge Backstage Theatre as they put on their performance of A Christmas Story November 22 – November 27.

Many of our owners are familiar with the access to the Breckenridge Recreation Center that Gold Point Resort is happy to provide for all of our guests. We are proud to provide this ongoing access as a benefit of ownership, but did you know that Gold Point Resort pays for each pass before it is used? The passes are purchased from the Rec Center and are then distributed to our guests. If the pass is misplaced or goes unused, the expense is lost. During your next visit, please enjoy the wonderful features that the Rec Center has to offer, but if you don’t use one of the passes, please bring it back to the front desk so we can distribute it to the next guest.

As we look forward to winter we have placed a strong emphasis on preparing ourselves for the upcoming snowy season.

  • The engineering department has conducted an inspection of all roofs and corresponding heat tape to ensure that they are in sound condition before they are buried beneath feet of snow.
  • Finishing touches were placed on the front desk remodel and we are excited to be enjoying the finished product.
  • The housekeeping department has moved the hot tub towels into each unit. On your next visit, look for a towel in your unit before you head out to the hot tub.
  • New lighting is being installed in the townhouse kitchens in buildings 1 through 6. The new LED fixtures provide immediate and brighter light.
