Greetings from your family at Gold Point Resort!

The town of Breckenridge marks February in typical Breckenridge fashion, with a parade and party on Main Street! The town celebrates Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras February 9 with masks, boas, beads, music and revelry to commemorate the carnival season. The annual Mardi Gras parade kicks off in New Orleans style at 4:30 p.m. If you find yourself in pursuit of a more active vacation, the Breckenridge Nordic Center will host a Full Moon Snowshoe Party on the evening of February 21.

For the non-revelers of the bunch, February may best be known for Valentine’s Day. What could be more romantic than a carriage ride through a winter wonderland? Throughout Breckenridge, you will find a Valentine’s date idea for any couple. Be it a paint night at Ready, Paint, Fire, a night of ice skating at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena or a simple escape to the mountains, Breckenridge can offer relief to the stress of finding the perfect Valentine’s date.

With the ability to reserve Bonus Time online, the staff at Gold Point Resort is working tirelessly to create as much availability as possible. For those who are just now hearing that Bonus Time can be reserved online, this resource is available on the owner’s site, Grand Central. If you are in need of assistance setting up your online account, please do not hesitate to contact the Owner Relations team at 877.453.4440 for any help.

As the team at Gold Point Resort has been quite busy maintaining the resort, here are some things that we are working on:

  • Preparations are being made for the new bedroom furniture. We are in the process of working with several vendors on designs and pricing, and hope to have a beautiful design selected soon. Of course that is just the beginning of a process that we expect to take several months.
  • The Engineering team has placed a heightened focus on our water conservation efforts. If you happen to notice a drippy faucet or running toilet, please let us know so we can make any necessary repairs as quickly as possible.
  • The Engineering team is also working on various enhancements to the hot tubs. After they install new bromine feeders and an alternate filtration pump, we hope for a more consistent quality with a reduction in noise and energy consumption.
