Letter from the General Manager
Dear Gold Point Owners,
The month of April was much different than what we had prepared for at Gold Point. As you know, the resort has been closed since mid-March due to COVID-19. The Gold Point team and I have missed being able to create Grand vacations, share smiles, and celebrate milestones with our owners who would typically be here to enjoy the spring beauty.
Adhering to guidelines, we have had a reduced team working on property to make improvements to the resort. Our housekeeping team has been working diligently to ensure that the spring deep cleans are done, which includes in-room and common area cleaning. The housekeeping team has brought the carpet cleaning and annual window cleaning in-house in order to reduce Association costs.
Our engineering team has worked tirelessly to complete their spring preventative maintenance projects. In addition, they have recently completed the interior unit door replacement project in Building 6 and have started repainting the trim and door frames in all of Gold Point I. Touch-up painting has been completed in all common areas and a daily property walk is completed in each unit as preventative maintenance. We are also pleased to share that the Building 4 bathroom remodel project began during the closure. The project is currently running on schedule and we are anticipating completion around June 1.
The engineering team has done the following to help with cost savings during the closure:
- Drained all hot tubs
- Lowered the temperature on the boilers and individual unit hot water heaters
- Reduced the temperature in all units and common areas
- Turned off all pilot lights
- Unplugged all refrigerators
- Turned off any unnecessary lights
Gold Point has provided a great environment for our team to work within the state and county safety guidelines. We have been able to responsibly distance all team members from one another by having them each work in their own rooms and often in their own buildings. As always, we have provided our team with the necessary personal protective equipment for their assigned duties, including face masks, gloves, and the proper chemicals.
We are preparing and anticipating reopening Gold Point soon. We look forward to seeing you, your families, and loved ones throughout the summer. We eagerly await the day that we can once again take part in your vacation.
Wishing you health and well-being,
Gold Point Resort, General Manager
