Letter from the General Manager
We are excited to re-open and share the beautiful Breckenridge summer with you. The Breckenridge Ski Area reopened for summer operations on July 4. This year’s summer on-mountain activities will include scenic chair lift rides on the Colorado chair, the Alpine Slide, the Gold Runner Coaster, and Breck Connect Gondola Rides. For more information on these activities, please visit: https://www.breckenridge.com/explore-the-resort/activities-and-events/summer-activities.aspx.
In order to better adhere to social distancing regulations, the Town of Breckenridge has decided to make Main Street a pedestrian thoroughfare for the summer of 2020. The change allows more outdoor seating for the restaurants in town and more spacious walking areas throughout town. Walking through Main Street has a new feel and is a great way to get outside and enjoy the Town of Breckenridge.
Here is what has been going on around property:
- The housekeeping team has been busy perfecting their new cleaning processes. Each room and common area are cleaned via a rigorous sanitation process that includes the use of UV lighting, electrostatic equipment, and other EPA-approved chemicals.
- Red, White, and Blue Fire recently visited the property for a Defensible Space Evaluation. The fire department evaluates Gold Point’s readiness in the event of a wildfire and provides suggestions on how we can prepare for a wildfire. I am happy to share that Gold Point received a green rating, which is their highest rating. The fire department provided some helpful suggestions, that our Engineering team was quick to address.
- Landscaping and exterior projects continue to be a focus for the Engineering team. They are currently concentrating on the flower bed at the entrance of the property as well as touch-up paint on the building’s exterior.
We hope to see you on property soon.
