Letter from the General Manager
Dear Gold Point Homeowners,
It is hard to believe that November is here and that the local ski areas will be open soon. Weather permitting, Keystone Ski Resort will open November 6 and Breckenridge Ski Resort will open November 13 for pass holders only until December 8.
In the town of Breckenridge, Breck Create continues to host fun, creative art classes and seminars on most days of the week. Some of the classes include glass beaded jewelry, family mug making, upcycled crafts, photography for hikers, and date night classes. This fall has been incredibly busy and the team on property continues to do a great job creating smiles for all owners while visiting their ‘Home Away from Home” at Gold Point.
Traditionally buildings are out of order for a week at a time during October and November for the Housekeeping team to perform deep cleans, while the Engineering team completes preventative maintenance in the units. This year, we have decided to forego the traditional blocks to provide an opportunity for owners whose weeks fell during the spring closure to visit Gold Point. While the units have not been out of order, the Housekeeping team continues to try to get in the units and complete deep cleans between checkouts. In addition, our Housekeeping team is working diligently to perform unit carpet cleans in-house as needed and as time allows. The Housekeeping team is also excited to share that Will Cervantes has recently been promoted to Housekeeping Assistant Manager. Will has been at Gold Point as a Room Quality Supervisor (RQS) for the past three years. In his time as an RQS he has shown an extraordinary level of leadership, great communication, and a high level of dedication to Gold Point. We are excited to see him advance in his career and have high expectations for him in his new role.
In addition to performing the traditional preventative maintenance exercises, Daniel and the Engineering team have been installing new blinds/roller shades in Building 3. The blind replacement was part of the annual reserve projects budgeted for Gold Point I. The roller shades provide a new look and feel for the units and are also simpler, for easier use by owners and guests and fewer repairs for the Engineering team.
At the Front Desk, Melinda and Tricia have been working diligently to keep guests informed while keeping them safe. The team is currently working on new activities and market offerings, which we anticipate starting by Thanksgiving. With winter beginning we want to remind all owners of the Colorado tractions laws. Whether you are renting a car or driving your own, you will be required to follow the tractions laws when CDOT implements Passenger Vehicle Traction and Chain Laws due to poor road conditions.
