Letter from the General Manager
Greetings from Gold Point,
We are excited about the start of 2021 and all that the New Year will bring.
There are plenty of outdoor activities to participate in on your winter visit to Breckenridge:
Dogsledding is a popular family activity and available right here in Breckenridge. Tours are available for up to 6 people and allow you to run the dogs and ride in the dogsled or on a sleigh. Please contact the concierge at Grand Lodge for more information.
The Steven C. West Ice Arena is open for public skates several times a day. Gather your party to enjoy some time on the ice perfecting your skills. For more information and the daily schedule, please click here.
The Breckenridge Nordic Center offers a multitude of groomed trails for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. The Breckenridge Nordic Center is open daily from 9 to 4. The shop has equipment available to rent and purchase as well as cross country ski gear. For more information about the Breckenridge Nordic Center, visit the website here.
While the events of 2020 were a bit unexpected and took some unanticipated twists and turns, we still had a great year at Gold Point. After reopening in June, we had high occupancy. Guests and owners were so grateful to have the opportunity to stay at Gold Point. During 2020, we were able to complete the following large projects and upgrades:
- Renovating 4 bathrooms
- Replacing 4 interior unit doors
- Upgrading the driveway crack seal and overlay
- Replacing the window coverings in Buildings 2, 3, and 4
We are planning several large projects for 2021, including the following:
- Renovating 3 bathrooms
- Replacing 1 window
- Replacing 1 hot tub
- Designing the Building 7 bathroom and kitchen remodel, currently scheduled for 2022
Thank you for another fantastic year at Gold Point! We look forward to seeing you in 2021. As always, please contact me with any questions, comments, or suggestions.
