Letter from the General Manager
Dear Gold Point Homeowners,
We are looking forward to a busy May on the property. The Gold Point team has just started the spring block season, where we work on deep cleans and preventative maintenance throughout the resort. As you may recall, last fall, we decided to forego our standard blocks season so owners who were unable to use their normal week due to the COVID-19 closure could enjoy a much-deserved Gold Point vacation. Our Housekeeping and Engineering teams are excited to use this time to concentrate on extra cleaning and engineering projects after a busy winter season.
In addition to the deep cleans and preventative maintenance around the property, we have a couple of projects that we are excited to share. The Building 3 bathroom renovation is underway. Similar to what was previously completed in Buildings 4 and 6, the Building 3 bathroom renovation will include replacing tubs, tile, vanities, toilets, mirrors and fixtures in all 18 bathrooms. We are using the same contractor that completed the previous projects. The project is moving smoothly and Building 3 should reopen with new bathrooms in early June. We will also be replacing the Registration Building flooring in the front of the house. We currently have laminate flooring that is showing its wear and tear. The laminate will be replaced with a non-slip tile that has successfully been used at other BGV properties. We are excited about the durability, safety and low maintenance of the new product being installed during May.
Breckenridge continues to see more and more visitors in May. One of the activities that will bring people to Breckenridge during May is whitewater rafting. While there is limited rafting in Breckenridge, there are several rafting opportunities within a short drive of Breckenridge. One of my favorite sections of the river to raft is Browns Canyon. It is located on the Arkansas River close to Buena Vista and is a great day trip from Breckenridge. Another popular activity in May is fly fishing. You can fly fishing in Breckenridge and the surrounding areas. Breckenridge Outfitters and Mountain Anglers are great places to go to ask their knowledgeable guides about fishing near Breckenridge and book a guided trip.
Thank you for your continued support of Gold Point Resort. We hope to see you during May or the upcoming summer months. As always, please reach out to me if there is anything that I can do to be of assistance.
