Grand Colorado on Peak 8 Property Information

Quarter 2 2024

Letter from the Assistant General Manager

Greetings from Breckenridge!

The snow is melting fast, and spring and summer are just around the corner for us in the mountains. We enjoy this time of year as it celebrates a couple of things—1—the end of another successful ski season and 2—the start of our many property projects and refreshes. I hope many of our great owners were able to enjoy some turns on the mountain or a magical trip to the Town of Breckenridge. So many great events took place, and more are to come this spring and summer as well!

If you are looking for fun things to do this spring/summer – look no further! Below are some great events taking place for you to enjoy.

  • Farmers Market begins June 7 in Dillon and June 9th in Breckenridge. Getting out and supporting our many local vendors is always appreciated and a great morning/afternoon activity.
  • Epic Discovery Park on Peak 8 base is set to open on June 14.
  • Lake Dillon Beer Festival June 15th – attend this great event, taste more than 30 beers, and enjoy snacks and live music!
  • The Keystone Bacon & Bourbon Festival, June 22-23, is loved by many. Bacon and Bourbon—what else do you need?
  • The Breckenridge Art Festival, which takes place July 4-6, is located at the Village of Breckenridge and showcases the works of many talented community artists.
  • Breckenridge Food & Wine Festival, July 26-28 at Main Street Station, is a great event to taste a variety of wines and a great fusion of flavors.

This list highlights some of the events in our amazing county and town. More information can be found at gobreck.com and on the BGV Owners site. Our concierge team is also able to assist with booking many offsite excursions for you and your family. Ziplining, horseback riding and rafting will be starting before we know it!

As much fun as it is to explore our amazing area, there is also much to see and do on the property! As I mentioned, this time of year is a time for us to complete many projects and prep for the coming months. Look below at the many projects we have started this spring already!

  • Building 1 Updates
    • Counter Stools
  • Building 2 Updates
    • Counter Stools
    • Sofa Sleepers in Suites and Breckenridge Masters
    • Coffee and End Tables
    • Dining Room Tables and Chairs
    • Entry Benches
  • Ullr Café counter extension and new beer system install

More items are coming later this year, but we are excited about these many updates and our plans for your amazing resort. As a reminder, check your confirmation and owner portal before your arrival at our closures of some areas for short periods of time. Keeping your amenities in tip-top condition requires closure, but we do our best to minimize the impact on your vacation.

We look forward to seeing you in Breckenridge again soon!

Important Owner Reminder

Some of our valued BGV owners have recently reported unsolicited cold calls, letters, and emails from companies offering fractional real estate ownership exit options. Unfortunately, some of these companies are not legitimate, so we encourage you to promptly report any suspicious forms of communication to BGV’s Accounts Receivable Management Team at 888-783-8883 Ext. 3048.

Here are some basic indicators and tips from the Colorado State Attorney General’s Office to help protect you from potential scams:

  1. You receive unsolicited offers with promises such as, but not limited to “We have a buyer for your ownership” or “We guarantee you will make a large profit on the sale.”
  2. The reseller or transfer company only uses a PO box or other mail forwarding service and won’t provide a physical address.
  3. You are asked to make an immediate and/or up-front payment by wire transfer, money order, or prepaid gift or money card.
  4. Refuse to pay for appraisals, inspections, or other services – scammers use these to avoid state prohibitions on collecting up-front fees and these services are rarely needed to complete an ownership resale or transfer.
  5. The offer suggests an upcoming significant increase in association dues, or other expense increases.
  6. Be wary of any solicitation or offer of purchase that requires you to use a resale, transfer, or escrow company of the buyer’s choice.

We recognize that there are times when an owner needs to exit their fractional real estate ownership, and are pleased to offer the following safe and responsible exit resources: https://www.bgvgrandcentral.com/resources/ownership-transfer/. In addition, please feel free to contact BGV’s Accounts Receivable Management Team at 888-783-8883 Ext. 3048 if you need further assistance.
