Letter from the General Manager
Spring has arrived at the Grand Colorado on Peak 8! It’s the perfect time of year to visit Breckenridge for some much-needed R&R. Kick back and relax in your favorite hot tub, take in the views of the Ten Mile Range in the heated pool, head into town and get a table at your favorite restaurant, or grab a passport from the Concierge and try to find a new favorite place by taking advantage of the many two-for-ones being offered.
Our Activities staff has put together a list of activities being offered during this time of the year. Although Breckenridge Ski Resort has closed for the season, Arapahoe Basin and Loveland Ski Area are still open and have received some fresh snow recently, making conditions great for spring skiing. The month of May is a time of the year when you can ski, hike, bike, golf, raft, zipline…etc. all in the same day if you wanted to! There are not many places in the world where you can do this. There is certainly something to be said about this and a reason why Summit County has been called Colorado’s playground. I encourage you to come up on Day Use or book some Bonus Time to experience spring in Summit County! Plus, don’t forget about the owners parties taking place at the Grand Colorado on Peak 8 each Saturday in May (not on Memorial Day weekend).
The entire staff is very excited and busy preparing to open Phase 2. The resort is looking better every day as we make small improvements and additions to help make your vacation experience Grand! Our Activities staff has been busy working on new activities to offer and adding outdoor games located all around the pool deck for everyone to enjoy! We are curious to see what the resort will look like without snow surrounding it. When we opened in December, we had just received 17 inches of snow, so the staff has not had a chance to see the resort with landscaping throughout.
Last month in the newsletter I encouraged owners to email me with suggestions and feedback on how we can make your resort better. We appreciate all the emails I received. There were some great ideas, and we encourage others to provide additional feedback to us if you have any. Please feel free to email me at jbretz@breckgv.com.
Thank you for reading, and we look forward to seeing you in Breckenridge soon!
Sincerely,
Jason Bretz
General Manager, Grand Colorado on Peak 8
We will be staying here the week of July 4 (July 1-8). Any special events planned for that week or on the 4th? We traded our week in Mexico for a week in Breck and we are really looking forward to the visit.
Hello Don,
There is always a Fourth of July parade on Main Street, the Firecracker 50 mountain bike race and fireworks if weather permits. Specific special activities at the Grand Colorado on Peak 8 won’t be planned until closer to the date. You can find out more about the town events here: http://www.gobreck.com/events/fourth-of-july
Are the Saturday owners parties only for owners of the Grand Colorado? Or are they open to owners of Grand Timber as well?
Hi Lori,
Owner parties are for ALL BGV owners regardless of where you own. They are just located at the Grand Colorado on Peak 8.
