Letter from the Assistant General Manager
Greetings from Breckenridge!
Many trails and bike paths in the area are starting to fill up with locals, our amazing owners, and guests getting outside to adventure in our magnificent county. The Cucumber Gulch Wildlife Preserve is open to the public on July sixth. If you are unfamiliar with this area, you probably didn’t even realize you ride over it every time you ride the Gondola! When riding the Gondola, it is the beautiful wetlands between the Peak 7 and Shock Hill Stops. This is a great hike and adventure for families of all ages and sizes. You can begin the hike at the Peak 7 Trail Head and walk down to the base of the town. Once you get down, you can either turn around and hike back up or enjoy the Town of Breckenridge, hop on the Gondola, and view the hike you just accomplished.
Summertime in Breckenridge is all about getting outdoors and adventures, which is my article’s theme this month. But as many know who have visited in the past, we can experience some afternoon showers and storms passing through. What do you do during those times? Stop by the Activities Desk to try some of our new fun activities! When the sun is out, and the weather is nice, the Sport Court is a great space to be on the property. This is what we call the Ice Rink in the Summertime! Some great green turf is also put down with some great family fun games. This is a great spot to have your morning coffee, a picnic lunch, or just a refreshing iced coffee from Ullr Café. This space has quickly become a favorite spot of owners and guests, and once you try it out, you will see why.
We look forward to seeing you in Breckenridge again soon and hope you are able to get out and explore and enjoy this summer!
