Greetings from Breckenridge!

Even though skiing is done on Peak 8, you can still enjoy some late-season skiing at Peak 7. The anticipated closing for the season is May 21st and is, of course, weather dependent. Breckenridge Ski Resort also announced some exciting changes that will be taking place this summer to the base of Peak 8. Chair 5 is upgrading from a 2-person chair to a high-speed Quad Chair. This will be great for flow at the base of the mountain. Also, changes will occur to the beginner ski area and its placement. Look at the renderings below to understand what is to come. (Renderings could change as work begins).

Epic Discovery operations will be impacted by this scheduled work to begin soon. The Alpine Slide will remain closed this summer, and the Alpine Coaster will also experience intermittent closures. The end result for the next ski season will be worth it!

In addition to the work that is taking place at the base of the mountain, our team has been working hard inside the resort. We are excited to share many new projects that took place this spring. The resort looks refreshed and ready for an amazing summer season!

  • New carpet in Building 2 first and 4th-floor units and hallways.
    • Second & third-floor units and hallways are scheduled for replacement this fall.
  • New hallway carpet in Building 1
  • New Armchairs in all Building 1 & 2 units.
  • New Mattresses in Building 1 units.
  • New end-of-bed benches in Building 1 & 2 Colorado Master Units
  • New cardio equipment in the Fitness Center

Important Owner Reminder

Some of our valued BGV owners have recently reported unsolicited cold calls, letters, and emails from companies offering fractional real estate ownership exit options. Unfortunately, some of these companies are not legitimate, so we encourage you to promptly report any suspicious forms of communication to BGV’s Accounts Receivable Management Team at 888-783-8883 Ext. 3048.

 Here are some basic indicators and tips from the Colorado State Attorney General’s Office to help protect you from potential scams:

  1. You receive unsolicited offers with promises such as, but not limited to “We have a buyer for your ownership” or “We guarantee you will make a large profit on the sale.”
  2. The reseller or transfer company only uses a PO box or other mail forwarding service and won’t provide a physical address.
  3. You are asked to make an immediate and/or up-front payment by wire transfer, money order, or prepaid gift or money card.
  4. Refuse to pay for appraisals, inspections, or other services – scammers use these to avoid state prohibitions on collecting up-front fees and these services are rarely needed to complete an ownership resale or transfer.
  5. The offer suggests an upcoming significant increase in association dues, or other expense increases.
  6. Be wary of any solicitation or offer of purchase that requires you to use a resale, transfer, or escrow company of the buyer’s choice.
