Letter from the Assistant General Manager
Greetings from Breckenridge, and Happy New Year to all!
2021 is behind us, and 2022 is here as a new start and adventure for all. Typically, people think of a resolution and change each New Year. Many people choose fitness or health but maybe starting and learning something new is for you. Learn to ski if you snowboard; learn to snowboard if you ski! As an owner at the Grand Colorado on Peak 8, you receive 20% off rentals through Breck Sports. Simple stop by the Concierge Desk to receive more information about this. We also have Snowshoes for rent through our Activities. There are many great trails and hikes you can do in Summit County, and snowshoes help you do that this time of the year.
Did you know we have a Movie Theater in Breckenridge? The Eclipse by Breck Film reopened in August and is a great activity to do with your family after a day on the mountain. The Eclipse is open Wednesday-Sunday, with matinee and evening showtimes available. Our Concierge team always has the 411 on what is happening in Breckenridge – stop by their desk or call them at 970-547-8780 for more information.
This year another fantastic event coming back to Breckenridge is the International Snow Sculpture Championships from January 24-February 2. This is always a favorite event for many as it’s great to see the progress from a block of snow to a fantastic creation! Carving week is January 24-28 and viewing week is January 28-February 2. Go here for more information about this great event.
We look forward to seeing you in Breckenridge again soon!
The Grand Colorado on Peak 8, Assistant General Manager
