Letter from the General Manager:

Summer is flying by and we are looking forward to all of the exciting happenings in August.  One being the USA Pro Cycling Challenge which returns to Breckenridge on Aug 20 and 21.  Another fun event is the Breckenridge Beer Festival on August 29 at Beaver Run Resort.  You can learn more about these events along with the many others going on this month by visiting our Concierge staff or by visiting our calendar of events.

As a reminder, Sevens Restaurant located in the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 will be featuring patio parties every Sunday this summer.  Sevens will also offer happy hour each day from 3pm-6pm with $1 off drafts and specialty happy hour drinks.  In addition to happy hour they will have other specials each week, such as Yappy hour for dogs every Friday on Sevens patio from 3-6pm, so please visit our Concierge to learn more about what’s going on this summer at GL7, and in town!

The staff at the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 continues to look for additional activities we can offer at our resort.  Recently our Engineering department created giant jenga for everyone to enjoy and two sets of these are located at the putting green area.  We also placed a disc golf cage out back on GL7’s “back yard” where the badminton net is set up.  Disc golf is a growing sport and we are fortunate in Summit County to have some spectacular courses to play.  We have discs available to sign out at our front desk, so you can try your skills out at this new sport.  We’re also looking ahead at the projects that will be taking place this fall so we can notify owners of any closures we will have in October and November.  Please look for these in the September newsletter.

As always, we want to be better tomorrow than we are today, so please feel free to share any ideas or suggestions you might have.  We appreciate your feedback!  Below are a few updates to look for during your next trip to the Grand Lodge on Peak 7:

  • Refinished the interior of elevators 3.  Elevator 2 was completed in June.
  • Removed the bell desk that was located in the North Building on the Ground Floor near the restroom.  We added seating in this location.
  • Installed the landscaping that is located at the entryway to the Grand Lodge on Peak7 in preparation for the permanent sign to be installed.
  • Replaced the chairs in front of the fireplace located in the lobby.
