GRAND TIMBER LODGE PROPERTY INFORMATION

Letter from the General Manager

Snow was flying in January, with nearly two feet falling over the Martin Luther King weekend, bringing the season’s total to over 100 inches! The fresh snow allowed Breckenridge to open the terrain on Peak 6 as a holiday treat and smiles were aplenty. With a growing base, things are taking shape for our snowiest months ahead, as February generally welcomes weather patterns favorable for powder days!

The Activities team has built a robust schedule of activities here at Grand Timber Lodge and is excited to have introduced some new events, including candle making, tea time and organic lip balm and bath bomb making. Candle making allows you to mix your own scents and colors in a variety of molds, creating your perfect stress-melting aroma! Tea time allows you to mix your own blend of tea from an assortment of herbs. Create a tea to relieve stress, rejuvenate your mind or boost your immune system. The organic lip balm and bath bomb activity is perfect after a windy day that has left your lips and body feeling chapped. You can again blend your own lip balm and bath bomb using a variety of essential oils.

Have you had a chance to experience the new Lodgepole specials? Each evening they are offering a special to help you feel at home and relaxed. Some of our new favorites thus far have been the Peruvian Stuffed Pepper and the homemade Meatloaf!

What would February be without a famous Breckenridge Mardi Gras celebration! Celebrate with the annual Mardi Gras parade February 13 at 4:30 p.m., followed by a free concert from the Lowdown Brass Band at the Riverwalk Center. The concert coincides with the Paulaner Salvator Festival, a celebration of big, strong beers from Paulaner for just $4.

With 2018 off to a strong start, here is what has been happening at the resort:

  • We have installed new alarm clocks in each unit. The new clocks feature easily accessible outlets and USB charging ports, as well as a built in Bluetooth speaker.
  • The Front Desk has begun to prepare M&M cookies each evening as a compliment to the famous chocolate chip cookies. Let us know what you think!
