Letter from the Assistant General Manager

Greetings from your family in Breckenridge!

It is the time of year when we start to get excited about the snow and ski season just ahead of us. Our first taste of snow came early this year, with several inches falling on September 9. While it has melted off for now, Mother Nature has provided us with a taste of what we hope will be a great winter!

We know that this ski season will be a unique experience, and Breckenridge Ski Resorts has announced its operating plan for the 2020/2021 ski season. The ski area operations plan for the winter can be found on Vail Resorts website, which will be the best resource for questions about the on-mountain experience for this ski season and what we can expect.

As you look forward to visiting Grand Timber Lodge this winter, we continue to evolve and adapt to ensure that you enjoy a safe, Grand vacation. We also know that you might be able to take advantage of remote work and learning opportunities while staying with us. While we hope that you will leave most of the work for us, our Board Room and Library are available if you need a quiet place for a Zoom meeting or lecture. If you just need a place to set up a laptop, we have a few mobile desks available that you can use in the comfort of your room.

The past few months have been quite the journey, but helping our owners enjoy a vacation has been a beacon of light for us to enjoy!

Here is a taste of what else has been going on around the property:

  • Renovations are underway in the Building 1 indoor pool area, which will update the locker rooms, restrooms, and indoor pool floor. The project is expected to be completed in mid-November.
  • The Arcade has reopened with some new games, including four-person Pac Man! You can now enjoy some friendly family competition. Remember to wipe down the games before and after using them.

We welcome your feedback and suggestions on how to make Grand Timber Lodge a better place for you and your family. You may always send ideas to eli@grandtimber.com for consideration
