Letter from the Assistant General Manager

Greetings from your family in Breckenridge!

Ski season is once again upon us! Wolf Creek Resort opened their lifts on Saturday, October 16, for the first official ski area opening of the 2021/2022 season, joined just a day later by Arapahoe Basin! Weather permitting, Breckenridge Ski Resort will kick off operations on November 12. New for this year is the Freedom SuperChair, a new highspeed lift on Peak 7 that will make navigating the mountain easier and accessing the Peak 6 terrain. The new parking structure at the base of the Gondola is also scheduled to open on November 11 after two years of construction. The parking structure will move the location of the shuttle stops at the Gondola base area, so be sure to check with the shuttle driver to ensure you meet them at the new stop!

Thank you to everyone who was able to participate in Grand Timber Lodge Owners Association Meeting. The live meeting was recorded, so it could be viewed here if you were unable to join.

As we get excited for the winter in Breckenridge, here is what has been going on around the resort:

  • New carpet is being installed in Building 6 units and hallways!
  • We are nearing the completion of the biennial deep cleaning process, a time in which we complete carpet and window cleaning, routine maintenance and upkeep, and several projects to ensure the resort is ready to welcome you for your next visit.
  • The shuttle will begin operating on the winter schedule beginning November 7. For the season, it will operate from 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.

It is with great pleasure to announce that Nick Borovich will be joining Grand Timber Lodge family as the new General Manager! Nick holds a great deal of experience in taking the reins of GTL. After graduating from James Madison University in 2013, Nick moved to Breckenridge and has held various leadership positions for Vail Resorts, such as Assistant Front Desk Manager and Guest Services Manager. Nick began his career with BGV in 2015, working in Owner Relations and Guest Services Leadership before accepting the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 Assistant General Manager role in 2016.

Don’t forget as an owner you have discounted rate stays available at the Breck Inn. All stays are in the standard double queen room. Rates run $72.87 from Sunday through Thursday and $97.57 for Friday and Saturday. Reservations can only be made 30 days in advance by calling the Breck Inn at 970-547-9876.
