Grand Timber Lodge Property Information-June

Letter from the Assistant General Manager

Greetings from your home in Breckenridge!

Summer is finally here! After a long wintery spring with rain/ snow and hail almost daily we are in the beautiful days of summer. The old saying, you come to Breckenridge for the winter and stay for the summer certainly rings true with me. The trails are full of hikers and bikers and downtown is full of happy people. If you have the privilege of coming to Breckenridge during this time of year you know full well how beautiful and fun a place to be it is.

We are also all excited about the annual Independence Day celebration. The festivities will start with the parade at 9:30. Once again this year the parade will be kicked off by the participants of the Firecracker 50 bike race. It is always fun to see the adrenaline junkies start their 50-mile journey through the Breckenridge single-track trails. Please also keep in mind that fireworks are prohibited in Breckenridge due to the high fire risk we experience in the summer.

Here is a taste of what else has been going on around the property:

  • After multiple years of working with the same landscaping company, our property is in great shape. The flowers are blossoming, and the lawns are vibrant. Next time you are here you should take a walk around the property and check out the hard work.
  • We repainted the exterior of buildings 3 and 4 and are working through the interior of 7 and 8. This rounds out the interior painting of all buildings with a new look and feel.
  • If you are interested in engaging in aquatics activities while staying here, please stop by our activities department. They have inflatable kayaks and stand-up paddle boards available for daily rentals and can give you plenty of fun recommendations on where to use them.
  • As an owner, you get a 10% discount on food while dining at the Boot Saloon. Make sure you are letting your server know you are an owner to take advantage of this.

We welcome your feedback and suggestions on how to make Grand Timber Lodge a better place for you and your family. You may always send ideas to eli@grandtimber.com for consideration!
