Grand Timber Lodge Property Information

August 2023

Letter from the Assistant General Manager

Greetings from your family in Breckenridge!

Breckenridge is the place to be in the summer. With temperatures in the 70s and sunny virtually every day, you can really enjoy the great outdoors. We have over 200 miles of biking and hiking trails, world-class fly fishing and rafting on multiple rivers, live music nearby at both the 10 Mile Music Hall and the Dillon Amphitheater, multiple championship golf courses, and countless other amazing activities. I just cannot get enough of our lovely town this time of year. The town also puts on numerous fun events that you should for sure check out if you are here in August, including;

  • The Breck Epic 8/13/-8/18: A grueling six-day mountain bike race in which the competitors could use your support at the start and finish line.
  • Breckenridge International Festival of the Arts 8/11-8/20: Check out the daily free and paid activities with local and international artists. The full schedule can be found here.
  • Breck Hogfest 8/25-8/27: This pork and whiskey party celebrates all glutinous things. This is the spot for you if you have a hefty appetite and a palate for aged spirits. For more information and tickets, click here.

Please keep an eye on the current fire restrictions while you are in town. We love that we can live and play in Summit County, so please help us to keep it intact. The current restrictions can be found here. We certainly want everyone to enjoy themselves while staying here, but please be safe with the fire danger.

Here is what has been going on around the property:

  • We have updated our Activities Center by the building 5/6 indoor pool area. Come check out the new look and feel the next time you are here.
  • We added wifi access points to all units to provide better coverage around the property. Upgrading the wifi was a frequent request of our owner base, so we are happy to say we have heard you!
  • Just a reminder that GTL does not have air conditioning. If you stay here in the summer, you may have to keep windows open and utilize fans to keep your room cool.
  • We have made some upgrades to the splash pad located by building five. There is now soft padding around the area to improve the kids playing experience. We also added a timer dial so guests can turn the jets on and off.

 We welcome your feedback and suggestions on making Grand Timber Lodge a better place for you and your family.  You may always send ideas to eli@grandtimber.com for consideration!
