The International Snow Sculpture Championships are back for the 32nd year! Teams from across the U.S. and abroad will compete by transforming enormous blocks of snow into astounding works of art- without the use of any power tools. Come watch the teams in the creative process during the sculpting week, or enjoy the outdoor art gallery and grand illumination during viewing week. Prepare to be amazed by the creativity, ingenuity, and ability of these dedicated teams in one of the most highly anticipated events in Breckenridge!

  • Sculpting Week

    January 23-January 27

    • Begins on January 23 at 11:00 a.m.
    • Ends on January 27 at 9:00 a.m.
    • Location: Riverwalk Center- 150 West Adams Avenue, Breckenridge, CO, 80424
    • Cost: Free

    Teams will sculpt for five days, transforming their 12-foot, 20-ton blocks of snow into breathtaking sculptures! Watch the masters at work and witness the Riverwalk Center parking area transformed into an outdoor art gallery.

  • 32rd ISSC Awards Ceremony

    January 27

    • Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
    • Event begins at 6:00 p.m.
    • Location: Riverwalk Center- 150 West Adams Avenue, Breckenridge, CO 80424
    • Cost: Free

    Come enjoy the awards ceremony for the 32nd International Snow Sculpture Championships! After all of their hard efforts, the sculptures will be judged and winners will be announced for Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Artists’ Choice. No tickets are required to attend.

  • Viewing Week

    January 27-February 1

    • Begins January 27
    • Ends on February 1 at 7:00 p.m.
    • Location: Riverwalk Center- 150 West Adams Avenue, Breckenridge, CO, 80424
    • Cost: Free

    View these spectacular works of art that the teams have been creating over a five-day period! Want a truly unique experience? Visit after dark during the Grand Illumination. From 4:30-10:00 p.m., the sculptures will be lit with a unique light display.

  • Parking & Reservations

    Parking

    • F-Lot is the closest lot to the event
    • Breckenridge parking lots and street parking require fees. Learn more at Breck Park.
    • Free parking is available in the Airport Road lot with a free shuttle service
    • Additional parking is available at Colorado Mountain College on Saturday and Sunday (January 28 and 29).

    Reservations

    • Reservations are only required on Saturday, January 28 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
    • Timed reservations will be at 10, 12, and 2
    • There is no cost, but availability is limited
