Opening of Dillon Farmer’s Market

June 9

When the farmer’s markets start to open, summer is officially here! Friday, June 9, is the opening day for Dillon’s Farmer’s Market. This market takes place each Friday with produce and goods from local vendors, music and entertainment, donation-based yoga classes, and more! Pay a visit to our neighbors across the lake and take in the views of Lake Dillon and the Tenmile and Gore ranges. Keep in mind this is a no-pet event.

8th Annual Rob Millisor Heart Health Walk

June 10

Join us for the 8th annual Rob Millisor Heart Health Walk hosted by BGV Gives! With the support from Breckenridge Grand Vacations, 100% of every dollar received at this event will be contributed to The Rob Millisor Heart Health Fund at The Summit Foundation to support heart health programs, education, and research. Since 2016, proceeds from this event have supported heart health programs and other programs at the “heart” of the Summit County Community. Your support has changed lives from After School programs to CPR/AED training, backcountry rescue, and more.

Opening of Breckenridge Sunday Market

The Breckenridge Sunday Market is back and better than ever! 45 vendors from all across Colorado will be selling their artistic creations, handcrafted goods, and homegrown produce. The market takes place each Sunday and is located in Main Street Station, just steps from Maggie Pond. Leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome!

Colorado BBQ Challenge

June 15-17

One of our favorite events of the summer, Colorado BBQ Challenge, will be changing venues this year! In years past, this event has taken place on Frisco Main Street, but this year the festivities will take place at Copper Mountain. In addition to all the delicious barbeque you can handle, there will also be live music, a  rail jam, a 5k race, yoga classes, tasting dinners, and more! The event takes place over Father’s Day weekend and will have special events to match, such as the Father’s Day golf scramble. Get your fill at the Colorado BBQ challenge!

Lake Dillon Beer Festival

Located just steps from the shores of Lake Dillon, the Lake Dillon Beer Fest will feature beers from over 30 Colorado breweries! Take in the breathtaking views while sipping on brews. Sample beers while giving back to our Summit County community! Each ticket will include a donation to the Blue River Watershed Group, a local non-profit that supports our local rivers. This is a no-pet event.

Silverthorne Art Stroll

The Silverthorne Art Stoll takes place one Sunday per month in June, July, and August, with the first event taking place on Father’s Day! Enjoy a stroll along the Blue River trail and experience pop-up artists and musicians while taking in the sounds and sights of the river during these artful walking events.

Keystone Bacon and Bourbon

June 24-25

Take a trip over Swan Mountain to Keystone for a weekend of bacon and bourbon! Sample bacon and bacon-inspired cuisine, sip bourbon, and enjoy the live music performances. This event is fun for the whole family- kids can visit Camp Bacon for activities, games, and challenges. Enjoy this weekend-long celebration of all things bacon!

Breckenridge Backstage Theater Presents: A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder

Our local theater organization, Breckenridge Backstage Theater, will be debuting its performance of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder this month! From the BBT website, A Gentleman’s Guide is described as “A murderous romp filled with unforgettable music, non-stop laughs and a scene-stealing role for one actor playing all eight of the doomed heirs who meet their ends in the most creative and side-splitting ways. This is a truly original and fresh musical comedy that will delight you and leave you begging for more!”

Opening of Epic Discovery Park and Gondola

June 30

Epic Discovery Park will open for the summer season at the end of June! Take the gondola up to the base of Peak 8 for scenic chairlift rides, mini golf, bungee trampolines, gemstone mining, climbing wall, ropes courses, and more! Epic Discovery Park is fun for the whole family. Epic Discovery Park will run through September 4.

Friends of Dillon Ranger District Events

One of our most treasured local non-profit organizations, Friends of Dillon Ranger District (FDRD), offers a variety of programs to keep us learning and exploring all winter long! Friends of Dillon Ranger District is an active, locally-based stewardship organization that, with help of volunteers and collaboration with the US Forest Service, works for sustainable management of our local forest.
