BGV Family Spotlight

Employee Spotlight

This month’s employee spotlight is Casey Studstill! Casey has been in Breckenridge and working for BGV for about a year. Here is a little bit more about Casey:

  • What is your role with BGV?I work on the Owner Support team here in Breckenridge!
  • Favorite part of your job? – The best part of my job here at Owner Support, asides from creating amazing vacations, is working here in the office! This is the first office job that I’ve had, and the work environment here is great; everyone has welcomed me in, and it really feels like a family. I look forward to coming to work, and I love my job. That is something you rarely hear people say. Everyone is helpful and friendly here, and the positive vibes are tremendous; I wouldn’t be where I’m at without the help from this team! Another aspect of my job that I love is helping people out and having these positive interactions with the owners here in Breckenridge. It feels great to help someone out and make their day by creating smiles and vacations. I love it so much here in Breckenridge that sometimes it feels like I am the one on vacation! Positivity is contagious, and this job helps me stay positive and spread this magic to others daily.
  • Favorite thing to do outside of work?During wintertime, I look forward to hitting the mountain and skiing! Hitting the mountain to go skiing with friends or even by myself is something I love to do. Learning how to snowboard is next on the list, and I am excited to see how that goes. Winter time up here is a big deal and something I need to take advantage of while living here in Summit County! There are almost too many things to do here in the summertime. It is almost overwhelming. I love going outside and being in nature. I enjoy going on hikes and camping as well. Taking my dog, PABLO, outside and going on adventures with him is also something I love! I’ve had Pablo since he was a puppy (8 years ago), and we’ve had many fun adventures. He’s changed my life for the better! I like to golf and disc golf. Any activity outdoors is right up my alley. I also enjoy concerts, live music, and other festivals/events. I am from Jacksonville, so I am a Jaguars fan and love it when football season comes around. Also, I just got into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and joined a gym after moving to Summit County. This is starting to grow on me, and I absolutely love it. It is a great exercise, both physically and mentally. It is a fun and exciting way to stay healthy (rather than your typical gym session). It is equally therapeutic and challenging while also building confidence and developing critical thinking skills. This is also community-based; joining and attending classes helps defeat stress and depression. Most of all is so much fun, I love the culture and that it is community-based, I’m glad I recently started this hobby/journey. Lastly, I love to cook! Cooking has always been something that I enjoy doing, cooking for friends or just simply cooking myself. It is fun to create and explore other cultures in the world through food. It gives me a good reason to travel as well. It creates a culture of giving and receiving positive energy through cooking. It’s a great way to hang out with friends- who don’t love food!? I also love learning and reading about new cultures and different places of the world, I am on track to learn a new language, which is a whole new journey in itself!
  • What made you move to Breckenridge?I lived in Jacksonville, Florida, my whole life and had the chance and opportunity to come live and work up here. This is an opportunity that I didn’t want to pass up, I knew I would regret it, so I simply took the chance and came up here! I love it here and am so happy that I made this decision. There are no regrets about my moving here. I just miss my friends and family. I am stoked to see what Breckenridge offers and excited to see what opportunities will unfold!
  • What is your favorite place you have traveled to?I haven’t traveled much, but if I had to pick one place, I would say, Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is great, and I can’t wait to go back there. I love visiting the beach, and I learned how to surf while I was there. The seafood was incredible. Puerto Rico has a lot to offer, from beaches and hiking to food and nightlife. It is a place that I love, and I can’t wait to go back! With that being said, I do need to travel more, and hopefully I will have the opportunity to visit and explore new places. I have a lot of destinations in mind that I want to travel to.
  • And last, anything else you would like our owners to know about you? This is the best place I’ve ever worked and I love it here in Breckenridge! I’m excited for what my future has to offer for me up here. Moving up here was the best decision I’ve made!
