Whether owner or employee, we are all a part of the BGV family! This OneBGV segment gives our employees a chance get to know our owners and vice versa. With our BGV Family Spotlight we highlight an employee and an owner each month. For a chance to win $50 Reward Dollars, owners can visit the Owners Only segment below and fill out the form. This month’s employee spotlight is Janna Polgar! Here is a little bit more about Janna:

What is your role with BGV? Owner Support Department Manager
Favorite part of your job? My favorite part of my job is the relationships I get to build with our amazing owners and wonderful coworkers.
Favorite thing to do outside of work? I love spending time with my family, enjoying everything the Summit County mountains have to offer.
What made you move to Breckenridge? I originally moved out to Colorado to be a white-water rafting guide. I spent my summers in Buena Vista and my winters in Breckenridge. I fell in love with Summit County and started my career with BGV!
What is your favorite place you have traveled to? My favorite place I have ever traveled is Italy. I love the history, architecture, food, and wine!
And last, anything else you would like our owners to know about you?I love being a part of creating memories for families to remember for a lifetime together!

Owner Spotlight

This month’s owner spotlight is Renee Barnes! She is an owner at Gold Point, Grand Lodge on Peak 7, and Grand Colorado on Peak 8. Here is a bit about the Barnes family:

What is your favorite place you have traveled to? –We went on a Viking River Cruise that started in Amsterdam and ended in Basel, Switzerland. There were many stops along the way and excursions at each stop. We stopped in the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Switzerland. Each place was absolutely amazing!
How long have you been owners with Breckenridge Grand Vacations?We have owned since 2011.
What property or properties do you own? –Gold Point, Grand Lodge on Peak 7, and Grand Colorado on Peak 8
What made you join the BGV Family? – The properties are absolutely amazing! It is only 1 hour and 20 minutes from our house. We love that you can go there for the day and use the amenities. We love the bonus time and Interval International. We use this timeshare so much and we are so glad that we bought these properties. This is our home away from home!
What is your favorite thing about your ownership? – The properties make us feel like we are always on a 5 star vacation. We enjoy going to the owner parties and the free drink coupons upon arrival. It is the best place to go an wind down.
What is your favorite restaurant in Breckenridge? –Giampietro Pasta & Pizzeria.
Anything else you would like to share about yourself or your ownership? – This is one of our favorite places to be!

My hometown is Pottsville, PA. I had many fantastic memories growing up there. High school football games, marching band, and good friends. Pottsville is special because it is home to America’s Oldest Brewery, Yuengling Brewery. Still family owned. Now available also in Florida (where I’ve lived for the past 25 years), Texas, and SOON Colorado. It will be great to enjoy a cold Yuengling when we return to Breckenridge in June 2023. We love September in Breck, as a matter of fact we just returned 10/01/22, but are changing it up in 2023 and hope to see lots of snow on the peaks in June.

Renee Barnes

My hometown is Lakewood, Colorado. I have lived here my entire life. I would never live anywhere else. Living at the base of the foothills is the greatest place to be. Close to the mountains and far enough from downtown. It has grown a lot over the last 10 years, much more than I would like but it is still a great place to live. We have easy access to the mountains to go camping and going up to Breckenridge is only one hour and 20 minutes. We live close to a lot of amazing breweries and awesome places like downtown Golden. I love living in my little corner of the world.

Rogers, Arkansas I/we have lived in Rogers for 11 years It has grown so much since we moved here and is still growing My favorite expansion is The Walmart Amp which is less than 10 minutes from our home So many great Singers come and we have been fortunate to get to attend many

We moved from Alaska 3 years ago to Fort Collins, CO We happened to be staying at Breckenridge GL7 when we put an offer on our house. I was born in the Mountains of AK and spent 50 years there!! when I get to Breckenridge I always feel like I am home. We love all adventure sports and here in Breck we hike ALOT, mountain bike, road bike, stand up paddleboard, kayak, cross country and down hill ski. We love the sunshine, music, breweries and community in Fort Collins. I have hiked peak 8,7,6 and 5 so far along with 22 14,000 + peaks in CO

Eyota, Minnesota The people. Eyota is a small farm town where my entire family still lives. The joy of going back and experiencing the low key humble vibe is amazing. No judging, no keeping up with the Kardashians, helping a neighbor out, really miss that. It is located 15 minutes from Rochester, MN. Which is known for the Mayo Clinic. Great little community filled with hard working, caring families.

My hometime is Fort Collins so when I moved to the Denver metro area I fell in love with Littleton. Small town feel, open spaces, close to the foothills, I have remained over 30 years raising two kids, and training.

Jean Bell

Denver, North Carolina. Just outside Charlotte, on Lake Norman. I live in Trilogy, an active adult 55+ community whose focus is living the healthy life.. Hiking trails, boating, clubhouse with pool, incredible gym, other exercise and activity rooms, healthy food restaurant, art building, so many types of classes, speakers, cooking classes, FoodTalk group to discuss recipes and learn more about food, wine education, travel club and many organized trips,-the list goes on and on. An hour or so to the mountains, 3 hours to the beaches. Charlotte is an exciting fast growing city, with great restaurants, theater, sports teams, NASCAR, and more. Like being in Breckenridge, I love being in an environment of active, healthy, fun loving and charitable, caring people.

Hi. I’m from right here in Colorad in a town many coloradoans never heard of. Canon City. It’s a small town with all the virtues of small town living, but within n hours drive to a big city or soaring mountains. My hometown is Lubbock, TX. I was born there, but my Dad was in the Air Force, so we didn’t stay long and moved around quite a bit. However, I returned to my roots to go to college– Texas Tech University, which is located in Lubbock. Lubbock is a great city to raise kids and work. Everyone there seems to have a strong work ethic. The University is a great way to get to know people, as most of the students are from out of town and don’t go home every weekend, so you form some really good friendships. TTU is celebrating its’ 100th year in 2023, so very exciting time there now.

Colorado Springs is where we live and it is so great to be just minutes from the mountains but still get big city vibes.

Our hometown is Venice, Florida. It’s an amazing place to live. We have beautiful beaches , home to Atlanta Braves Training facilities, plenty of sunshine, and lots of great seafood. You literally can be outside 24/7.
