Breck2015The Breckenridge Ski Resort may be closed, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. Shoulder, or “Mud Season,” still has plenty to offer. From dining deals to spa discounts, it makes for a very enjoyable time to be in Breckenridge. There tends to be more Bonus Time, Day Use parking, and parking is free in town! Congratulations to last month’s winners, Jeff and LeeAnne Lind! Take a look at their 2015-16 ski season story below.

“We were at GL7 the week before Christmas, and several of us braved the cold and snowy conditions and went skiing. This was our first time being able to ski and use the superchair lift right out the back door, and it was amazing! The snow was perfect (6″ fresh powder), and there were no lift lines. We skied hard and were able to get on the lift as soon as we could get to it. There were a couple of times when we questioned whether we should even be on this run or that one because we were the only ones on it! We felt like we owned the slopes! But, by far, the very best part was standing at the top and taking in the spectacular view! Thank you GL7 and Breckenridge…another fantastic vacation in the books!” ‒ Jeff and LeeAnne Lind

The flowers are peaking their colorful petals up through the ground and sometimes snow, too. I love Breck this time of year! It’s quiet and peaceful and the Grand Timber is the place to be…love it!

Mud season means fewer people! And, this time of year there’s the possibility of windflowers starting to show their faces. It’s very relaxing.
