Resort Recycling

Recycling is the number one action we can do to help improve the environment and make our vacations a little more Grand and a whole lot greener. Breckenridge Grand Vacations has set a five-percent increase in landfill diversion goals for 2018 with an overall 15-percent increase by 2020. Color-coding techniques have been proven to reduce contamination in recycling bins and to increase overall participation in recycling.

One of the changes taking place in our resorts is updates to our recycling containers and educational signs and materials. Specific color choices for trash, compost, glass recycling and co-mingle recycling will help ensure our owners, guests and employees know which container to use and to reduce contamination while increasing participation in BGV’s landfill diversion efforts and goals. BGV has adopted the national waste diversion colors from Recycle Across America’s Let’s Recycle Right labeling campaign: orange for glass, blue for other recyclables, green for compost and black for trash.

We invite and encourage you to join us in our sustainability efforts and to share your recycling habits with us via our social media pages!
