  • 1. Learn Through Play at Mountain Top Explorium

    Mountain Top Explorium is an environment where kids can learn through play! They provide informal, hands-on learning through interactive exhibits and educational programming designed to inspire curiosity between children and their world! In addition to their exhibits, they also offer fun kids programs such as kids’ night out, birthday parties, and afterschool programs.

  • 2. Enjoy a Sweet Treat

  • 3. Try Your Luck in an Escape Room

    Did you know that both Grand Colorado on Peak 8 and the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 have their own escape rooms?

    GC8 features the GC8 Escape– an Ullr-themed Escape Room! The fate of winter is in your hands. Loki, the god of mischief, has stolen Ullr’s bow and arrow, disrupting weather patterns across Midgard! Can you outsmart Loki and solve the various puzzles to locate Ullr’s bow and arrow and reclaim winter?!

    GL7’s 80s-themed escape room is called Trapped in the ’80s! You are a team of time-traveling investigators and your time machine is set to leave in 60 minutes! Solve all the puzzles before it departs, or you’ll be trapped in a time of big hair and glam rock forever!

  • 5. Play Arcade Games

    Check out our Family Fun Centers to play some arcade games with the kids! Each of our resorts has a game center with a variety of games such as Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution, ping pong, air hockey, and much more! Challenge your family to a game and have some fun!

    If you are downtown, a local favorite for arcade games is Downstairs at Eric’s! They have all of your favorite and nostalgic arcade games and a menu of bar wings, pizza, and all the snacks you could as for!

  • 6. Stay Active at the Rec Center

    Pay a visit to the Breckenridge Recreation Center and let the kids burn off some of that excess energy! There are plenty of options at the Rec Center to keep everyone entertained! Swim in the indoor pool featuring a waterslide and swim stream. Learn to climb on the indoor rock climbing wall or take a class to learn the ropes- literally! The Breckenridge Tennis Center is another option with two indoor tennis courts that can be reserved hourly.

  • 7. Attend an Art Class with BreckCreate

    BreckCreate is a local organization devoted to promoting arts, culture, and creative experiences! They offer workshops and art classes for every age group to enjoy. Here are a few of our favorite kid-friendly options! Check out their class calendar to book.

    • Toddler Art: For ages 1-5; this is a 30-minute long mini-class for your mini-artist!
    • Crafts for Focused Tots: For ages 3-5; this class focuses on a new medium each week and is designed to enhance their motor skills and artistic skills.
    • Afterschool Art: For ages 6 and up; this class offers the opportunity to explore new materials, mediums, and techniques, allowing kids to grow their imagination!
    • Muddy Buddies: For ages 6 and up; this is the perfect introduction to ceramics for your kiddo! They will get their hands dirty and learn the basics of working with clay.
    • All-Ages Pick-A-Project: The title says it all! During this 90-minute session, kids can choose from a variety of creative activities with a teacher present to provide step-by-step instruction.
    • Family Mug Making: For ages 6 and up; families can work together to create a clay mug decorated with glaze paints. Make your own memorable souvenir!
  • 8. Join In An Activity at Your Resort

    Our on-resort activities teams have a wide variety of activities planned for you to enjoy! Get creative with projects like glass painting, paint-pouring, and tie-dye. Make a take-home souvenir with our build-a-buddy or tie-dye. Make and enjoy a treat with activities like candy sushi and edible dirt cups.   • 9. Learn to Skate at the Ice Rink

    The Stephen C. West Ice Arena is open daily with options for public skating as well as skating and hockey lessons! They offer equipment rentals on skates, helmets, and hockey equipment.  Their ice skating lessons include family evening lessons, figure skating, and tots on ice for the little ones!
