View from the Bottom: April

As a people-first organization, Breckenridge Grand Vacations has evolved over the last four decades based largely on the feedback we receive from our owners, guests, and employees. Through this month’s View from the Bottom, we are excited to highlight the results of our most recent employee survey and to share how we use employee feedback to shape our future.  

The entire leadership team at BGV received our most recent employee survey results right before the end of 2022. After a thorough review, our Executive Team began an annual collaborative process with several senior leaders to identify our top companywide opportunities to “celebrate and elevate.” Meanwhile, department leaders began to work on their top department-level opportunities to do the same.  

As we welcomed the new year, our senior leaders hosted a series of employee focus groups to dive deeper into how we can build on our strengths and improve upon our opportunities. Many ideas were shared, and several suggested solutions were turned into action items to drive positive changes throughout our organization.  

The results of this process are now being shared this month with all employees through a companywide session known as “We Heard You.” During this session, executives are joined by other senior leaders to serve as panelists. These leaders provide insight into what we learned from the employee feedback we received and reveal how we are activating this feedback to be better tomorrow than we are today.  

This year, we celebrate a high survey response rate, a significant increase in employee engagement, and how this feedback has earned BGV our first-ever recognition as a national Top Workplace by the Denver Post while once again being named a Colorado Top Workplace. It is always exciting to be recognized as an employer of choice on both a state and national level! And yet, there is still much work to be done. As we move forward, we will be elevating our internal bilingual communications, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives, just to name a few.
