Taking Care of the People Who Take Care of You

A few weeks ago, we hosted one of the most important events on the BGV calendar, our annual Wellness Fair. Nearly 400 BGV employees and their families took advantage of free and discounted health screenings, blood tests, and flu shots. The event included a healthy breakfast, very much appreciated by everyone who fasted before their blood draw. Participants interacted with more than a dozen healthy lifestyle vendors, from medical providers to yoga studios, learning how to stay fit and active at 9600 feet. Sure, there were a few tears from the little ones─and some of the not-so-little ones─at the flu shot station, but everyone recovered nicely.

Health care costs are a challenge everywhere, especially in mountain resort communities. It’s important that our employees have affordable options. That’s good for them, of course, but good for you too. Healthy and happy employees are the key to creating Grand vacations and putting smiles on faces.

BGV’s commitment to good health extends far beyond one day a year. Our Heart Health Fund, a living memorial to Rob Millisor, provides cholesterol screening and access to cardiac CT scans to detect atherosclerosis. We are also working with the Town of Breckenridge to increase the number of AEDs in our community, a life-saving resource for residents and visitors alike. And, of course, our owners enjoy the many health benefits of vacationing regularly.

Caring for our employees, our owners and guests, and our community, has long been a foundation of BGV culture. It’s a priority for us 365 days a year. Come see us soon and enjoy your mountain home in good health!
