Greetings from Breckenridge!

What a way to kick off summer! We had perfect weather for the BGV Family Picnic on Wednesday, June 8, and the RAM Walk on Saturday, June 11. For those of you who participated in the 7^th Annual Rob Millisor Heart Health Walk, Mike and I are beyond grateful for the awareness this event helps spread around heart health in our community. The legacy it has left for our brother and friend, Rob Millisor who touched everyone he ever met, is beyond words.

This year’s RAM Walk was incredibly successful! There were 394 participants and our fundraising efforts generated $184,769 to support heart health. Our BGV Gives donation portal is still open for this event if anyone who would still like to contribute to this cause – click here to donate. Additionally, in support of our sustainability efforts, the overall event had a waste diversion rate of 79%!

BGV continues to leave a lasting impression on every owner, guest, and employee with our purpose statement, “The soul of BGV is creating Smiles.” This rang true at our annual BGV Family Picnic where we awarded our employees with their smile bonus for the summer! It is intended for them to go and do something that makes them, and their families and friends smile. Every year, we receive images back of employees doing amazing things with their bonuses, such as the purchase of a new bike, going skydiving, and taking family vacations.

Our Family picnic welcomed over 700 of our staff and their families and was able to divert over 91% of waste generated as part of our ongoing commitment to the planet. BGV employees have embraced this culture and our picnic is a Grand way for our company to celebrate and appreciate our employees and their successes.
