Last month, the entire BGV Leadership Team gathered in Denver for our annual Leadership Summit, titled “The Power of Connections and Engagement.” Kyle Keefe, best known for hosting the coverage on Altitude Sports for our beloved 2022 Stanley Cup Winners, the Colorado Avalanche, began this session by emphasizing the profound impact of storytelling on human connections.

During this event, we tapped into the true power of our people through their stories. Kyle hosted conversations with employees, some BGV owners, and even two leaders from local Summit County non-profit organizations that our philanthropy program, BGV Gives, actively supports. They all shared stories of trials, perseverance, and personal victories that they had faced. The crowd’s laughter, tears, and applause were a testament to storytelling’s impact on connections and engagement.

We chose to focus on connections and engagement because we believe that when employees are engaged, they create more engaged owners and guests. In return, highly engaged owners and guests make more engaged employees. This positive feedback loop leads to greater employee retention and a better ownership experience. Or in other words, increased engagement results in even more smiles, and creating smiles is the soul of BGV.

Our afternoon team-building activity was a fun opportunity to strengthen leadership relationships across our entire organization, and we even enjoyed a few good laughs together. These photos say it all, don’t they?

In keeping with our storytelling theme, we would love to hear from you so we can continue to build upon our progress at this year’s BGV Leadership Summit. Please share your favorite story of being a BGV owner with us so that we can use your story to keep increasing our connections with one another. Please use the form to tell us your story!
