Grand Colorado on Peak 8 Property Information: January

Letter from the Assistant General Manager

Greetings from Breckenridge, and a Happy New Year to all!

January is an excellent time of year in Breckenridge, with snow-filled streets and unforgettable events for all to enjoy. The biggest and most sought-after event to attend is the International Snow Sculpture Championships. These will be taking place this year from January 23rd – February 1st. Carving and sculpting will take place from January 23rd -27th, and finished sculptures will be on display from January 27th – February 1st. Walking and admiring hard work and creativity is a favorite of many and best in the evening hours if you ask me. With such a popular event taking place in town, it is no surprise that parking and traffic are heavy and something to think about and plan around. If you have questions or are looking for suggestions, our concierge team is always happy to help point you in the right direction.

The next time you walk into the resort’s front entrance, you will notice our new sustainability initiative – our reusable bag Infinity Tree. The bags on this stand are for those staying on the property to borrow and return before leaving. Need a Bad, Take a Bag and then Return the Bag! Not many people travel with their reusable bags, and why should you when we have an option for you at the resort. Many towns in Summit County have had a plastic bag ban in place and charge for plastic and paper bags, and this is now a statewide initiative. We are also implementing this bag fee at the Peak 8 Market within the resort. Doing our part is what we are all about at BGV! Thank you for using our new Infinity Bag program and returning the bags when you are done.

We look forward to seeing everyone up in Breckenridge this New Year!
